Week Thitry-Five

This weekend we only had the English Premiership in action with a couple of the lower leagues for England and Scotland playing. Out of  the seventeen teams that we had playing over the weekend, only three failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had was four goals and we had two teams to net them both from the English Prem. ARSENAL with 22 votes beat LIVERPOOL 4-1 at home to take their goals tally to 72. Arsenal have now scored in all of their last fifteen games. Liverpool picked up their 59th goal of the season.
Arsenal have been with Golden Goals for 30 seasons now and they started in our second season of 1984/85 and finished on 75 goals. Their highest score is 103 goals scored in our 2002/03 Season. Last season they finished on 85. Over the seasons they have netted a total of  2,480 goals which gives them an average score of  82 goals per season.
The other team was QUEENS PARK RANGERS. They picked up their highest score of the season as they win 4-1 away to West Brom. Rangers may be our worst team to date with just 35goals which means that they could finish on their lowest score ever. Rangers started with us in our very first season and they finished on a total of 76 goals. They were our 9th voted team in that season. This season we see Rangers in their 21st year and their lowest score is 50 goals back in our 2005/06 Season. Last season they finished on 65 goals and with a total of 1,321 scored to date, Rangers have an average of 62 goals per season.

PREMIERSHIP
CHELSEA are still top but seven points clear of Arsenal as they win 2-1 at home against Stoke. Chelsea are now on 79 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 23 games. MANCHESTER UNITED are now third as they win 3-1 at home to Aston Villa. United are now on 64 goals. TOTTENHAM picked up their 8th blank score sheet of  the season as they drew 0-0 away to Burnley. EVERTON picked up goal number 42 as they win 1-0 at home to Southampton.

CHAMPIONSHIP
We had just three of our teams in action over the weekend. LEEDS lost 3-0 at home to Blackburn to pick up their 12th blank of  the season while READING drew 1-1 at home to CARDIFF. Reading are now on 55 goals while Cardiff  picked up their 58th goal of  the season.

LEAGUE ONE
Again we had just three of our teams in action. SHEFFIELD UNITED beat BARNSLEY 2-0 away to take their goals total  to 77 while Barnsley picked up their 12th blank of  the season. Our best team MK DONS won 3-0 away to Swindon and they are now on 93 goals.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In Scotland RANGERS beat top of the table HEARTS 2-1 at home to move into second place of the Scottish Championship. Rangers are now on a total of 69 goals while Hearts picked up goal number 89. DUNFERMLINE drew 1-1 away to Peterhead and that was their 55th goal of the season. STENHOUSEMUIR lost 3-1 at home to Forfar and that was their goal number 39.

THE BEST THREE TEAMS ARE…

MK DONS (93) HEARTS (89) DERBY (86) Total of 268 goals.

THE WORST THREE TEAMS ARE…

QPR (35) WIGAN (36) STENHOUSEMUIR (39) Total of 110 goals.

QPR are still our worst team this weekend even though they had that big win at the weekend. Rangers have played a total of 33 games and they have picked up a total of eleven blank score sheets to date.

We have just one team that has picked up the highest number of blank score sheets to date. They are now WIGAN and they have picked up a total of 18 blank score sheets after a total of 42 games to date.

HEARTS have picked up the highest score for this season with a 10-0 home win against Cowdenbeath in the league.

Manchester City had that record breaking end of season score of 137 goals last season. In Week thirty-five last season, City picked up four goals at the weekend. They are now on a total of 119 goals for the season after forty-two games played. They have had four blank score sheet’s and their highest score was seven goals against Norwich in the league.
This season they had no game at all this week again. So City remains on a total of 71 goals this weekend and they have had a total of five blank score sheet after thirty-three games played. They are now 48 goals behind last seasons record run.
