We have only two of our teams
in midweek action this week and the good news is that they both managed to pick
up some goals.
On Monday night SOUTHEND played Coventry away in League
One with the score ending in a draw 2-2. Southend up till then had
only played five games and in their last four they have failed to score any
goals. They are now on a total of three
goals so this is their highest score to date.
Southend are in their 13th
Season with Golden Goals and they are our 48th voted English team.
Their highest end of season score is 74 goals which was back in our 1990/91
Season. The last time out they scored a total of 68 and that was back in our
2013/14 Season. They have two votes this season.
In the Scottish League One, STENHOUSEMUIR played against Ayr and
lost 5-2 away. The goals take their
total to 11 goals after six games played. Stenhousemuir are in their 9th
Season with us and their highest score is of 72 goals back in our 2012/13
Season. They are our 9th voted Scottish team. Last season they
finished on 53 goals. This season once again they have just one vote.
