More Blanks Than Goals

So let’s catch up on the football results that will affect the Golden Goals news sheet this week coming up but there are more blanks than goals for us.
In the English Premiership CHELSEA improve on their league position as they beat NORWICH 
2-1 away. Chelsea are now on a total of 59 goals while Norwich picked up goal number 37. EVERTON are on 69 as they win 3-1 away to Aston Villa. ARSENAL lost 2-1 at home to Swansea to take their goals tally to 51 while after missing out on the Capital One Cup final last weekend, LIVERPOOL beat MANCHESTER CITY 3-0 at home. Liverpool are now on 57 goals while City picked up their 6th blank of the season. MANCHESTER UNITED got a late goal at home to WATFORD and that was their 47th goal while Watford picked up their second blank in a row and now twelve over the season. NEWCASTLE picked up their 14th blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Stoke. WEST HAM beat London Rivals TOTTENHAM 1-0 at home to take their goals total to 51 while Tottenham picked up their 7th blank score sheet.
In the Championship, MIDDLESBROUGH lost 2-1 away to Blackburn and that gave them goal number 54.
In League One PETERBOROUGH lost 3- 1 away to Bury and they are now on 70 goals. CHESTERFIELD drew 1-1 at home to BLACKPOOL to take their goals tally to 51 while Blackpool hit goal number 33. MILLWALL drew 0-0 at home to WIGAN to pick up their 9th blank score sheet to Wigan’s 10th. It’s 44 for PORT VALE as they drew 1-1 away to Oldham. SHEFFIELD UNITED lost 1-0 at home to BURTON ALBION and that was their 10th blank score sheet and they have scored just one goal in their last four games. Burton are now on 45. SOUTHEND are on 47 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Crewe while SWINDON won 2-0 at home to Doncaster to move their goals total to 55. SCUNTHORPE picked up their 11th blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Walsall.
In League Two PLYMOUTH lost 1-0 away to Barnet to pick up their 6th blank of the season as WYCOMBE get their 11th as they lost 1-0 away to Cambridge Utd. LEYTON ORIENT drew 2-2 away to Carlisle and they are on 58 goals. EXETER drew 1-1 at home to PORTSMOUTH to give them a total of 56 goals to Portsmouth’s 63. It’s 55 for LUTON as they win 1-0 at home to Morecombe.

In Scotland HEARTS win 2-0 at home to Inverness and that takes them to 62 goals while also in the Premiership, CELTIC drew 0-0 at home to Dundee and that was their 3rd blank score sheet after scoring in all of their last fifteen games. ABERDEEN won 1-0 away to Dundee Utd and they are on 47 goals. Meanwhile RANGERS are on 87 goals as they win 2-0 at home to Raith. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH are on 29 goals as they beat HIBERNIAN 1-0 at home. Hibs picked up their 4th blank of the season. FALKIRK drew 0-0 away to St Mirren and that was their 5th blank of the season.  STENHOUSEMUIR drew 1-1 away to Albion and they are on 39 goals while CLYDE picked up their 11th blank of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to East Stirling.
