Week Thirty-Three

RICHARD WILLIAMS has remained top once again this weekend and this is his twelfth weekend at the top.  Richard’s combination picked him up a total of just five goals over the week. One of them came from the weekend from Hibernian, Manchester City failed to score and Rangers had no game over the weekend. BOB SOPER finds himself in second place once again this weekend  now three goals behind Richard. Bob’s teams picked him up a total of four goals for the week from Arsenal, Manchester City and Rangers.

At the other end, it’s still STEPTOE & SON at number 119 for their ninth weekend as their combination picked  them up twelve goals for the week. But even after a very good week for goals, they still have the lowest score to date. Their teams are Queens Park, Queens Park Rangers and Queen of the South.

The race to the £40 Midweek Jackpot is looking like this with DANIEL GOODSON now four goals in front this week as he picks up three goals. Two came from Rangers and one from Middlesbrough. He is now on a total of 81 goals and just 19 goals away from that lovely cash. Daniel’s other team is Manchester city who had no game. WEEKEND RESULTS
So we did not have a bad midweek as most of our teams did pick up some goals but at the weekend again the goals did not come but some of our teams did pick up their highest scores of the season. We had four teams that had no game as they all played on Friday night and another thirteen teams that failed to score any goals. So for the second weekend running we ended up with an average score of just 3 goals this weekend.
We had two teams that picked up the highest score of the weekend and for themselves. They are from the English Championship BRISTOL CITY who beat BOLTON 6-0 at home. The highest score till now was just two goals so this amount of goals was a god send to the three players who have them this season. City are now on a total of 43 goals. Bolton picked up their 17th blank of the season.
The other team to pick up six goals also came from the Championship but fron the Scottish league. They are QUEEN OF THE SOUTH as they win 6-0 at home to Dumbarton. With just one vote this season they are now on a total of 38 goals.
