Week Thirty-Two

RICHARD WILLIAMS has remained top once again this weekend and this is his eleventh weekend at the top.  Richard’s combination picked him up a total of just four goals over the week. One of them came from the weekend from Hibernian, Manchester City failed to score and Rangers had no game over the weekend. BOB SOPER finds himself in second place this weekend  just two goals behind Richard. Bob’s teams also picked him up a total of eight goals for the week from Arsenal, Manchester City and Rangers.

At the other end, it’s still STEPTOE & SON at number 119 for his eighth weekend as his combination picked  him up seven goals for the week. His teams are Queens Park, Queens Park Rangers and Queen of the South.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Just over half of us picked up some more midweek goals this week and we had another ten players to reach that magic score 50 or more goals bringing the total up to 86 this week.
The highest score this week went to JAMIE WOOD with a total of ten goals. Jamie picked up his goals from Arsenal four and three each from Portsmouth and Rangers. Jamie now has a total of 62 midweek goals.
The race to the £40 Midweek Jackpot is looking like this with DANIEL GOODSON still three goals in front this week as he picks up three goals from Rangers. Middlesbrough failed to score. He is now on a total of 78 goals. Daniel’s other team is Manchester city who had no game. In joint second place this week we still have JOHN DAVIES, but JAMES HUNTER moves back up to second place from three . Both are on a total of 75 midweek goals. In third place down from two is CRAIG EVANS still on 72 goals. In fourth place on 71 goals we still have MICK LIDDLE. In joint fifth place we have four players this week. They are ADRIAN BEW down from three with TONY KING, TOM MACDONALD and CHRIS SETFORD moving into the race. All four are on a total of 70 goals. In sixth place down from five is JAMES WISE on 69 goals.

We have now had a total of 45 winners this season as last season’s Champion TOBY BICKNELL wins on a score of 8 goals. Believe it or not, this is his best score of the season although he has picked up eight goals at the weekend in two other weekends but won no cash.
Our Champion last season finished on a score of 311 goals which is our 12th best Champion’s score. He did very well in his very first season with Golden Goals by finishing eight goals in front of Darren Davidson in second place.
Toby not only picked up the £100 but he also had two shared weekend wins. He has dropped one of his winning teams from last season and they are Preston.
This season Toby has had just one blank score sheet and the highest that he has been is 36th place in week 17. His best team is Celtic.

  CELTIC 2, DERBY 3, SHEFFIELD UNITED 3
