Week Six

This weekend we should of had our second Rollover of the season but in Week Six we had a total of fourteen players that picked up a total of 11 goals each from their combinations.
But under our competition rules for this season, that we would not pay out less than a pound in winnings to our winning players which now means that next weekend we will have a Double Rollover worth £18 in cash. Our very unlucky players are C. BAMBRIDGE, T. BICKNELL, F. CARTHY, L. CLARK, S. DICKINSON, G. DOCKERILL, M. FISHER, D. GOODSON, R, HARROD, K. SETNA, D. STAINS, J. WEARDEN, N. WILLIAMS and J. WISE all but one had Celtic as part of their combination who were just one of our high scoring teams this weekend.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
We did not have any of our teams in action once again in midweek due to the Internationals so the race for the cash remains the same as last weeks.
JOHN FILTNESS remains in the lead with a total of 33 goals. His teams are Brighton, Colchester and Rangers. In Second place is JAMIE WOOD with 30 goals. In Third place we have TONY KING on 29 goals while in fourth place on 28 goals we have CHRIS SETFORD. In joint fifth place all on 27 goals we have DAVID SMITHERS, KEITH THOMSON and RICKY WOOD. In sixth place we have DOUG MORBEY on a total of 26 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS
At last we get a full league fixture for the weekend, and what a weekend we had for goals. This weekend we had our highest average score of the season with 7 goals. Everton was the only teams not to play over the weekend.
We had just eight of our teams that failed to score this weekend and that is why we have a high average score this weekend.
The highest score over the weekend was five goals and we had two teams to pick them up. They came from CELTIC in the Scottish Premiership and DONCASTER in League Two.
It was the Rival game of the season where CELTIC took on RANGERS in a head to head clash. We have been waiting four years for this and what a disappointment it was. Celtic out played Rangers in this first clash with easy as they humped Rangers 5-1 at home. With yet another five goals, Celtic take their goals tally to 20 goals and after just five games, they are scoring four goals per game. Celtic have a 100% appearances with Golden Goals and their best season was in the 2000/01 Season with 122 goals. Last season they netted a total of 108 which was their 15th season with 100 or more goals. Over the years they have netted a total of 3189 goals which gives them an average score of 93 goals per season.they have a total of 69 votes this season and a 100% scoring record. Rangers picked up their 22nd goal of the season.
DONCASTER picked up their biggest score this season with a 5-1 away win over Morecombe. That takes their goals total to 16. Doncaster are in their 5th Season with us and their highest score came in their very first season with 84 goals in our 2003/04 Season. They became our 100th voted team in the competition and last time out in 2014/15 they finished on 68 goals. They have netted a total of 275 goals over the years and that gives them an average score of 51 goals per season. They have two votes this season and they have scored in all of their eight games played.

PREMIERSHIP
We have all six teams at the top this weekend with MANCHESTER CITY still number one as they beat rivals MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1 away.
