Week Two

Here we are with Week Two of the competition and this weekend we had two winners to share the £6 weekend cash prize money.  Our winners won on a score of 9 goals which is the lowest score to date and one of them is our first lady winner. That lady is ELLIE HOLDSWORTH who is in her second season with us. Ellie started with us last season and she finished in 40th place on 304 goals with one weekend win.
Our other winner is STUART KEMP who has been with Golden Goals for a while now. Stuart finished in 67th place but failed to win any cash, so a good start for the season for Stuart.

Ellie – LIVERPOOL 3, MANCHESTER UTD 4, RANGERS 2
Stuart – LIVERPOOL 3, MANCHESTER CITY 2, MANCHESTER UTD 4

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
At last we can have our first look at who is in the lead for our 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot worth £40 this season. The prize money will go to the first person to reach 100 goals from their three teams. We had five players that picked up the most number of midweek goals this week with 13 goals each but here is how the race for the cash is looking.
Out in front this week with 17 goals is AMANDA MORRISON who has Falkirk, Manchester City and Scunthorpe. In Second place we have GARY BOLBERY with 15 goals while in third place on 13 goals we have six players. They are  CHRIS BOOM, ROBERT FREEMAN, TONY GUY combinations One and Two, CHRIS HESSE and DAVE WOOD.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had our very first full weekend fixture but it was not as good as our first weekend in goals. We had just three teams with no game over the weekend with another fourteen teams that failed to score any goals. So our weekend average score was just three goals. So if your teams picked up more than that, then you have done well.
The Highest score over the weekend was four goals and we had four teams to pick them up. They came from HULL CITY, MANCHESTER UNITED, PETERBOROUGH and WIGAN.

Although our worst teams are  CRYSTAL PALACE, WEST HAM and NEWCASTLE this weekend we can also add BOURNEMOUTH as all four have failed to score in their first league game of the season.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 35th Season are LUTON from League Two. They picked up our highest score in week one as they win 8-2 at home to Yeovil in their first league game of the season.

It was Amanda Morrison who was top last weekend but GARY BOLBERY has moved to the top this weekend after picking up eleven goals this week.
