Rangers Back up to Third

In the Scottish Premiership RANGERS have moved back up to third place after they won 4-1 away to Hamilton. Rangers have now taken their goals tally to 26.

In the English Championship FULHAM beat QUEENS PARK RANGERS 2-1 away. Fulham have now scored in all of their last seven games and they are now on a total of 16 goals. Rangers also take their goals tally to 16.

Sheffield United Beat Wolves to Second Place

We had another three of our English Championship teams in action and two of them won their games.
With a goal in each half, SHEFFIELD UNITED moved up to second place in the league after they beat WOLVES 2-0 at home. United have taken their goals tally to 18 while Wolves who have now drop down to fourth place, picked up their second blank score sheet of the season. BIRMINGHAM also won 1-0 at home to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY to win their second league game of the season out of ten played. Birmingham are now on a total of 12 goals.

Cardiff go Top of Championship

In the English Championship CARDIFF go top above LEEDS UNITED as they beat them 3-1 at home. Cardiff take their goals total to 20 while Leeds hit goal number 29. QUEENS PARK RANGERS are on 15 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Barnsley. BRENTFORD drew 1-1 at home to Derby and that is their 19th goal of the season. Still no goals from BOLTON as they went down 2-0 away to Bristol City. Bolton have now not scored a goal in their last six games and they have now had a total of seven blank score sheets. ASTON VILLA picked up another four goals in their 4-0 away win over BURTON ALBION. Villa are now on a total of 22 goals while Albion picked up their 6th blank and now two games without a goal. HULL lost 2-1 at home to Preston to take their goals tally to 16 while IPSWICH picked up their highest score to date as they win 5-2 at home to SUNDERLAND. Ipswich are now on 22 goals to Sunderland’s 13. NORWICH won 1-0 away to MIDDLESBROUGH and that is their 19th goal of the season while Brough picked up their fourth blank of the season. It’s 13 goals for READING but they lost 2-1 away to Millwall. FULHAM have scored their highest result of the season as they win 3-0 away to Nottingham Forest to take their goals total to 14.

In League One, WIGAN have moved up to second place after they win 1-0 at home to PLYMOUTH. Wigan are on 21 goals while Plymouth picked up their sixth blank and now now three games in a row. It’s 17 goals for BLACKBURN as they win 2-0 at home against Rotherham. FLEETWOOD won 3-0 away to Bradford and they are now on 18 goals while Bradford picked up their third blank of the season. DONCASTER are on 16 goals as they lost 2-1  at home to top of the table Shrewsbury. SCUNTHORPE picked up their fourth blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Gillingham. MK DONS drew 0-0 at home to Northampton to pick up their fourth blank of the season. PETERBOROUGH lost 3-2 away to Oldham but they are now on 22 goals. PORTSMOUTH are on 15 goals as they win 3-0 at home to Bristol Rovers. SOUTHEND drew 1-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon and they are now on 14 goals while CHARLTON are on a total of 19 goals as they drew 2-2 away to Walsall.

In League Two, FOREST GREEN are now rock bottom of the league after they lost 3-0 away to Cambridge. That was their fifth blank and now two games without a goal. MANSFIELD lost 3-0 away to Cheltenham and that was their third blank score sheet. EXETER remained in second place after they lost 3-0 at home to Nott’s County. Exeter have now had two blank score sheets in their last two games. It’s 16 goals for COLCHESTER as they drew 2-2 away to Grimsby. LINCOLN won 2-1 at home to Barnet and they take their goals tally to 14 while LUTON drew 0-0 away to Morecombe to pick up their fifth blank of the season. PORT VALE lost 2-1 at home to Accrington and the single goal takes their total to 9. COVENTRY won 2-1 away to Swindon and they are now on 14 goals.

Arsenal Seventh

In the English Premiership, ARSENAL have won their third league game of the season as they win 2-0 at home against WEST BROM. With a goal in each half, Arsenal are now on a total of 10 goals and they have now moved up to seventh place in the league. West Brom have now picked up their second blank score sheet and have now only scored one goal in their last three games.

Week Eight

In Week eight of the competition we have now had a total of sixteen winners this season as we have another two winners to add to our list. Our winners won on their highest score of the season with 11 goals each. They are BRADLEY CLARK and TONY JENKINS who have a share of the £6 cash jackpot this weekend.
Bradley did very well last season as he finished in the winning frame in 5th place. His combination picked him up a total of 341 goals and he won over £45 in cash. This season Bradley has had just one blank score sheet and over this week he has picked up a total of 22 goals. This is the highest that Bradley has been to date in 14th place. His best team is Celtic.
Tony hopes to do a lot better than last season by finishing higher than 83rd place with 276 goals. Tony’s combination has had a slow start to the season but with two blank weekend score sheets to date, this is the highest that Tony has been so far. Tony’s best team is Manchester City. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT 
All but four of you picked up some more midweek goals and with some big results from our teams the race for the cash as all changed. The highest number of goals you could of picked up was thirteen but they all went to GEOFF DOCKERILL our 1994/95 Champion. They came from Celtic, 4, Chelsea 5 and Manchester United 4 and that brings Geoff’s midweek total to 23. So we had a big shake up in the race for the cash.
Leading the pack this week we have  GUY DOWSETT (2) and MIKE HARRINGTON both come straight in to the race on a total of 31 goals. In second place all on 30 goals we have ALEX  DAVEY, SIMON DICKINSON, DAVE SOMERVILLE, DAVE WOOD and RICKY WOOD. In third place we have PHIL FRANCKSEN, JAMES PLATT, ADAM SANSOM and JULIE SOMERVILLE.

WEEKEND RESULTS 
This weekend our average score has remained at six goals and as youcan see that there is a big change in the table which was mainly down to the players with the Celtic and Manchester City part combo. We had just four of our teams with out a game and another eleven teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had over the weekend came from the English Premiership and once again it was MANCHESTER CITY that picked up the highest score for us as they win 5-0 at home to CRYSTAL PALACE. City have now scored in all of their seven league/cup games and they have a total of 23 goals. Palace have picked up their sixth place score sheet.

PREMIERSHIP
So Manchester City have remained in the top spot after their big win again and still in alphabetical order with their rivals MANCHESTER UNITED who won 1-0 away to Southampton. United have now scored in all of their seven games played and they have a total of 21 goals. In third place is still CHELSEA as they win 4-0 away to Stoke.  Chelsea are now on a total of 17 goals. TOTTENHAM have moved up to fourth place after they beat their London rivals WEST HAM 3-2 away. Both Tottenham and West Ham have taken their goals tally to 11. LIVERPOOL are in fifth place after they won 3-2 away to LEICESTER CITY. After losing to them in the cup in midweek, Liverpool are now on a total of 12 goals while City are take their tally to 15. EVERTON are now on 7 goals as they win 2-1 at home to BOURNEMOUTH who are also now on 7 goals. NEWCASTLE have moved down to ninth place as they lost 1-0 away to Brighton to pickup their third blank of the season.

CHAMPIONSHIP
LEEDS UNITED are still top spot here on goal difference again after they won 3-2 at home to IPSWICH. Leeds have had a good week for goals and they are now on a total of 28 while Ipswich take their goals total to 17. WOLVES are still in second place after they won 2-1 at home to Barnsley. Wolves have taken their goals tally to 19 goals. CARDIFF are still third place after they beat SUNDERLAND 2-1 away. Cardiff are now on a total of 17 goals while Sunderland picked up goal number 11. SHEFFIELD UNITED are now in fourth place after they beat rivals Wednesday 4-2 away. United have now taken their goals tally to 16 with their biggest win of the season. ASTON VILLA are now on a total of 18 goals as they win 2-1 at home against Nottingham Forest. BOLTON lost 3-0 at home to BRENTFORD to pick up their sixth blank score sheet and now five games without a single goal. Brentford take their goals tally to 18. MIDDLESBROUGH are on 16 goals after they drew 1-1 away to FULHAM who picked up goal number 11. NORWICH have now had three blank score sheets as they drew 0-0 at home to Bristol City. QUEENS PARK RANGERS drew 0-0 at home to BURTON ALBION to pick up their second blank score sheet while Albion have now had five. It’s 12 goals for READING after they drew 1-1 at home to HULL who are now on 15 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
PETERBOROUGH are still in second place despite them winning 3-2 at home to WIGAN in fourth place. Borough and Wigan are both on 20 goals. BRADFORD who are in third place won 1-0 away to Northampton. Bradford  are now on a total of 18 goals. SCUNTHORPE have moved up to fifth place as they win 2-0 at home to PORTSMOUTH. Scunthorpe have taken their goals total to 14 while Portsmouth picked up their third blank of the season. It’s 17 goals now for CHARLTON as they drew 1-1 at home to Bury. SOUTHEND have picked up their highest score of the season as they win 4-2 away to Fleetwood. Southend are on 13 goals while Fleetwood are on 15 goals. DONCASTER after scoring just one goal in their last six games, won 3-0 away to PLYMOUTH. Doncaster are now on 15 while Plymouth fifth blank and now two in a row. It’s goal number 15 for BLACKBURN as they drew 1-1 away to top team Shrewsbury.

LEAGUE TWO
EXETER have moved down to second place on goal difference as they lost 2-0 away to COVENTRY. That was Exeter’s first blank of the season after a goal run of nine games. Coventry are now on 12 goals. LUTON are now in third place as they win 1-0 at home to Chesterfield. That was Luton’s 18th goal of the season. MANSFIELD are in fifth place as they win 2-1 at home to Cambridge. Mansfield are now on 15 goals. COLCHESTER hit goal number 14 as they lost 2-1 at home to Wycombe. LINCOLN CITY lost 4-1 away to Notts County and they are now on 12 goals. PORT VALE drew 1-1 away to Yeovil to pick up goal number 8.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership CELTIC are still top after they won 2-0 away to rivals RANGERS. Celtic have now scored in all of their nine games played and they have a total of 27 goals. Rangers picked up their second blank of the season. ABERDEEN in second place won 1-0 away to Motherwell and that was their 13th goal of the season.
In the Championship, FALKIRK have picked up their second blank score sheet in a row as they lost 2-0 at home to Livingston. In league One RAITH ROVERS are still top after they won 2-0 at home to Airdrie and they are now on 30 goals. They have scored in all of their last ten games. In League Two PETERHEAD are in second place as they win 3-0 away to Edinburgh City. Peterhead are now on 23 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR are right behind them in third place as they win 3-0 at home to Berwick. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 15 goals. ELGIN CITY are on 14 goals as they win 3-0 win 3-0 at home to Montrose.

We have had a few teams that have picked up six blank score sheets already this season but BOLTON have now picked up six blank score sheets after eleven games played and they have failed to score in their last five games.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 35th Season is LUTON from League Two. They picked up our highest score in week one as they win 8-2 at home to Yeovil in their first league game of the season. 

ALEX DAVEY become the fourth player to reach that top spot which could make him our 35th Champion.Alex’s has the combination of Celtic, Leeds Utd and Manchester City which has picked him up a total of 18 goals for the week. Last weekends leader Guy Dowsett (2) is now two goals behind Alex as his combination picked him up a total of 16 goals. Guy has Celtic, Leeds Utd and Manchester Utd. At the other end at 149 we still have JOHN DOVE spending his third consecutive weekend there as his combination picked up a total of 9 goals for the week from Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool.

MK Dons Win Again

In League One MK DONS are now on a total of 11 goals after they won 2-0 away to AFC Wimbledon to win their fourth league game. The two goals came in the first half and the three points now move them up to 9th place.

In League Two, FOREST GREEN lost 2-0 at home against Swindon to pick up their fourth blank scorer sheet of the season.

Aberdeen Crash out of League Cup

ABERDEEN was our last Scottish team to play in the quarter-finals of the Scottish league cup but there was no joy for our two voters as they crashed out 3-0 away to Motherwell. That is Aberdeen’s second blank score sheet of the season and now it’s just one goal in their last three games.

Scottish League Cup Quarter-Finals

CELTIC have made it through to the semi-finals as they beat Dundee 4-0 away. Celtic have now scored in all of their eight games this season with a total of 25 goals. They have now scored twelve goals in their last three games.

League Cup Third Round Results

We had another nine of our teams in cup action last night but only five have made it through to the next round. ARSENAL are through as they beat DONCASTER 1-0 at home. That was Arsenals eighth goal of the season. Doncaster are out and picked up their sixth blank of the season. They have now scored just one goal in their last six games. CHELSEA picked up their highest score of the season as they beat Nottingham Forest 5-1 at home. Chelsea are now on a total of 13 goals. EVERTON have also made it through after they beat SUNDERLAND 3-0 at home with their biggest result of the season. Everton are now on a total of five goals while Sunderland picked up their fourth blank of the season. It’s 20 goals for MANCHESTER UNITED as they picked up another four goals in their 4-1 home win against BURTON ALBION. Albion are now on 12 goals. The last team to make it through was MANCHESTER CITY who won 2-1 away to WEST BROM. City are now on 18 goals while West Brom hit goal number eight.

Liverpool Out of the League Cup

In the Third Round of the English League Cup we had fourteen of our Golden Goals teams in action and out of them nine have made it through to the next round.
We did get a few shocks of the night where LEICESTER CITY beat LIVERPOOL 2-0 at home. City take their goals tally to 13 goals while Liverpool picked up their second blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last three games. CRYSTAL PALACE have picked up their first win of the season and a place in the next round of the cup as they win 1-0 at home to Huddersfield. After failing not to score in their last three games, Palace have taken their goals total to three.
Meanwhile ASTON VILLA are out as they lost 2-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH to pick up their fourth blank score sheet. Brough have taken their goals total to 15. BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 at home against Brighton in extra time and that is their sixth goal of the season. Also through are NORWICH. They won 3-1 away to BRENTFORD and are now on 18 goals while Brentford hit goal number 15. TOTTENHAM won just 1-0 at home to Barnsley and that is goal number 8. WEST HAM are through as they picked up their biggest win of the season by beating BOLTON 3-0 at home. West Ham are now on a total of 9 goals while Bolton are out and have now picked up their fifth blank score sheet and now four games in a row. WOLVES are on 17 goals as they win a place in the next round by beating Bristol Rovers 1-0 at home after extra time had been played. LEEDS UNITED drew 2-2 after the full 90 minutes and then they were still at the same result after extra time but they finally beat Burnley 5-3 on penalties. READING are out of the cup as they lost 2-0 at home to Swansea to pick up their fourth blank of the season.

We had just one league result from League One where WIGAN won 1-0 at home to Northampton and they are now on a total of 18 goals.


Rangers in Semi-Finals of League Cup

We only have three of our eight Scottish teams left in the Scottish League Cup Quarter-finals and one of them is RANGERS. The game ended 1-1 with Partick and although Rangers took the lead in the first 55 minutes, Partick equalised in the last minute of the full 90 minutes. Rangers had to beat them in extra time to go through to the semi-finals 3-1. Rangers are now on a total of 22 goals.

Week Seven

In Week Seven of the competition we have now had a total of fourteen winners this season as we have another three winners to add to our list. Our winners won on our highest score of the season with 14 goals each.
They are CHRIS BOOM, BARRY BURROUGHS and CHRIS DICKER who have a share of the £6 cash jackpot this weekend. Our three winners were all with us last season. Chris B finished in the winning frame last season in 90th place on a total of 270 goals. This season he has picked up just one blank score sheet and the highest that he has been to date is second place in week two. Barry finished in 92nd place last season on 270 goals. This season he has also had just one blank score sheet and his highest position to date is 19th in week one. Chris D finished in the winning frame in 28th place last season with a total of 310 goals and taking home just under £7 in cash. Seventy-three of you picked up some more midweek goals and there was three of us that picked up the highest number of goals with five each. They are STEVE AYRES, BEN PAYNE and me, STEVE REEVE. So once again there was a change in the race for the cash.
Leading the pack we still have  JULIE SOMERVILLE who has Aston Villa, Celtic and Reading and still with a total of 25 goals.  In Second place we have DAVE WOOD and up from four PHIL FRANCKSEN both on 24 goals. In joint third place all on 23 goals we have  JAMES BLYTH, SIMON DICKINSON, TONY GUY (2) and RICKY WOOD. Moving down from third place to four we have MATT DORAN, GRAHAM PHILLIPS and JAMES PLATT. They are now joined with ALEX  DAVEY and CHRIS SETFORD  all on  22 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS 
This weekend our average weekend score shot up from four goals to six and I was surprised that it was not even higher. we had just two of our teams with out a game and another sixteen teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had over the weekend came from the English Premiership and once again it was MANCHESTER CITY that picked up the highest score for us and for them as they win 6-0 away to Watford. City are now on a scored in all of their five league games and they have a total of 16 goals.
Manchester City are our 15th English team to be voted in our first season where they ended with a total of 73 goals. This is their twenty-fourth season with Golden Goals and they are a team that has made great progress over the years. City have netted 100 or more goals in three of twenty-four seasons and their highest and ours is 137 goals from the 2013/14 Season. Over the seasons they have netted a total of 1846 goals which gives them an average score of 76 goals per season to date.

As Chelsea pick up their first blank of the season, Arsenal have picked up their third. NEWCASTLE have moved up to fourth place as they win 2-1 at home to Stoke. Newcastle are now on 8 goals. In fifth place is still TOTTENHAM they drew 0-0 at home to Swansea to pick up their first blank score sheet. LIVERPOOL drew 1-1 at home to Burnley and that was their 9th goal of the season. It’s 15 goals for IPSWICH as they win 2-0 at home to BOLTON. Bolton have now had four blank score sheets and now three in a row. In the Premiership Celtic are back on top after they won 4-0 at home to Ross County. Celtic have now scored in all of their seven games played and they have a total of 21 goals. ABERDEEN in second place drew their game 1-1 at home to Kilmarnock and they are now on 12 goals. Rangers are now in third place.
In the Championship, FALKIRK’S goal run of ten games has come to the end as they drew 0-0 at home to Dundee Utd. In league One RAITH ROVERS are still top after they win 5-0 away to Queens Park. Rovers are on 28 goals and still our best team. They have scored in all of their last nine games. In League Two PETERHEAD are back in to third place as they win 4-0 away to Cowdenbeath. With their biggest win of the season they are now on 20 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR are right behind them as they drew 1-1 away to Anna. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 12 goals. ELGIN CITY lost 3-2 away to Berwick but the goals now gives them a total of 11.

We have had a few teams that have picked up five blank score sheets already this season but CRYSTAL PALACE have now picked up five blank score sheets after six games played to date.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 35th Season is LUTON from League Two. They picked up our highest score in week one as they win 8-2 at home to Yeovil in their first league game of the season.

Bournemouth Winners

The last of the midweek games have now been played this week and we picked up some more goals here at Golden Goals.
In the English Premiership BOURNEMOUTH won 2-1 at home against Brighton. The goals have taken Bournemouth’s goal tally to five.
In the Scottish Premiership RANGERS drew 2-2 away to Partick to give them a total of 19 goals.

Championship Result

Another two of our English Championship teams managed to play last night and they both picked up goals. FULHAM are now on a total of 9 goals as they beat HULL 2-1 at home. Hull picked up their 13th goal of the season

Plenty of Blanks

We had thirty-two of our Golden Goal teams in action and it was not all that good news for our top teams. 
In the English Championship, ASTON VILLA drew 0-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH to pick up their third blank score sheet of the season with no goals in their last two games. Brough also picked up their third. BOLTON have failed to score in their last three games and now four over the season as they lost 1-0 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED. United hit goal number 12. LEEDS UTD are now on a total of 23 goals as they win 2-0 at home to BIRMINGHAM who picked up their fifth blank score sheet and now three in a row. NORWICH drew 0-0 at home to BURTON ALBION and that was their second blank and Burton’s fourth. Top of the table CARDIFF lost 3-0 away to Preston and that is their first blank score sheet of the season after a run of eight games. It’s 12 goals for QUEENS PARK RANGERS as they drew 2-2 at home against Millwall. After not scoring in their last two games BRENTFORD are now on 13 goals as they lost 2-1 away to Sheffield Wednesday. SUNDERLAND lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest and that is their third blank of the season. WOLVES drew 3-3 at home to Bristol City to take their goals tally to 14 goals.

In League One CHARLTON picked up their second blank score sheet after they lost 3-0 at home to WIGAN who are now on 14 goals. FLEETWOOD picked up their highest score of the season as they won 3-2 at home to Bury. Fleetwood have now scored in all of their seven games. PORTSMOUTH lost 3-1 away to Northampton and they are on 8 goals. It’s 16 goals for BRADFORD as they drew 2-2 away to Oxford. PETERBOROUGH are also on 16 goals as they win 2-0 at home to MK DONS. The Dons have now had three blank score sheets in nine games. PLYMOUTH lost 3-1 at home to Blackpool to pick up goal number six. After not scoring in their last three games, DONCASTER are now on 12 goals as they lost 2-1 away to Rochdale. SCUNTHORPE lost 1-0 at home to BLACKBURN to pick up their second consecutive blank score sheet and now three for the season. Blackburn are now on 14 goals. SOUTHEND picked up their fourth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Shrewsbury.

In League Two EXETER are on 14 goals as they win 2-1 away to Barnet. COLCHESTER drew 1-1 at home to Chesterfield and they are on a total of 12 goals. COVENTRY won 2-0 at home to Carlisle and they take their goals total to 9. LINCOLN CITY are on 11 goals as they win 1-0 away to FOREST GREEN who picked up their third blank score sheet. After a tow game dry spell for goals, LUTON are now on 15 goals as they win 2-0 at home to PORT VALE who picked up their fifth consecutive blank score sheet. MANSFIELD picked up their second blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 at home to Wycombe.

West Ham Back Home

In the English Premiership, In their first home game of the season, WEST HAM UNITED have picked up their first league win in four games as they beat Huddersfield 2-0 at home. West Ham are now off the bottom of the table to leave Crystal Palace there instead. West Ham take their goals tally to 6 goals.

Week Six

In Week Six of the competition we have had our eleventh winner of the season and he won our first Rollover of the season with a Cash Jackpot worth £12 on 12 goals. Our winner is BOB SOPER who has been with the competition since the 2000/01 Season. This season Bob has picked up two blank score sheets and this is his highest score to date. Last season Bob finished in 70th place with a total of 285 goals. He did not win any cash last season so this makes it a bit sweeter with this weekends Rollover. His teams are

There was 113 of you that picked up the four goals from Celtic and there has been a change in the race for the cash.
Leading the pack we still have  JULIE SOMERVILLE who has Aston Villa, Celtic and Reading with a total of 25 goals.  In Second place we have TONY GUY (2) and DAVE WOOD both up from third place on 23 goals. In joint third place all on 22 goals we have  SIMON DICKINSON, MATT DORAN, GRAHAM PHILLIPS and JAMES PLATT all moving up from fourth place. On 21 goals in joint fourth place we have PHIL FRANCKSEN, MIKE PEPPERRELL and RICKY WOOD.

WEEKEND RESULTS 
This weekend we had three of our teams with out a game and another eighteen teams that failed to score any goals. But the average score fell slightly to 4 goals. The highest score that we had over the weekend came from two of our teams. From the English Premiership we had MANCHESTER CITY and in the Championship it was LEEDS UNITED .
Manchester City scored their highest score of the season as they win 5-0 at home to LIVERPOOL. City take their goals total up to 10 goals and they have now scored in all of their four games this season. Liverpool picked up their first blank score sheet. Leeds United won 5-0 at home to BURTON ALBION to take their goals tally to 21 goals. They have now scored fourteen goals in their last four games. Burton picked up their third blank of the season.

PREMIERSHIP
MANCHESTER UNITED are now joint top with Manchester City after they drew 2-2 away to Stoke. United have now scored in all of their four games played and they have a total of 12 goals. In third place this weekend we have CHELSEA after they won 2-1 away to LEICESTER CITY. Chelsea have now scored 8 goals in four games while Leicester picked up goal number ten. In fifth place is TOTTENHAM. They picked up their highest score of the season as they won 3-0 away to EVERTON. Tottenham arenow on 7 goals while Everton picked up their second consecutive blank score sheet. After a the game dry spell for goals, ARSENAL are now on 7 goals as they win 3-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH who picked up their third blank of the season.  WESTBROM lost 3-1 away to Brighton but they are now on a total of 7 goals. It’s 6 goals for NEWCASTLE as they win 1-0 away to Swansea. CRYSTAL PALACE lost 1-0 away to Burnley and that was their fourth blank and now two in a row.

CHAMPIONSHIP
CARDIFF have remained top here after they drew 1-1 away to FULHAM. Cardiff still have a 100% scoring record after a total of eight league/cup games. They are now on a total of 14 goals. Fulham picked up goal number seven. With Leeds United in second place WOLVES are right behind them as they picked up their 11th goal of the season with a 1-0 home win against Millwall. IPSWICH are fourth as they lost 2-1 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS. Ipswich are on 13 goals while Rangers are on 10. SHEFFIELD UNITED are in fifth place after they won 2-1 away to SUNDERLAND. United are now on 11 goals while Sunderland picked up goal number nine. MIDDLESBROUGH follow as they picked up another three goals after they won 3-0 away to BOLTON. Brough are now on a total of 10 goals while Bolton picked up their third blank and now two in a row. BRENTFORD picked up their fourth blank and now two in a row as they drew 0-0 away to ASTON VILLA who picked up their second. NORWICH won 1-0 at home to BIRMINGHAM to take their goals tally to 14. Birmingham picked up their fourth blank and now no goals in their last two games. READING picked up their third blank after they lost 1-0 at home to Bristol City.

LEAGUE ONE
CHARLTON have moved in to second place behind Shrewsbury after they won 2-1 at home to SOUTHEND. Charlton are now on 16 goals while Southend hit goal number seven. PETERBOROUGH have moved down to third place after they lost 3-1 at home to BRADFORD who are now in fourth place.  Both teams are now on a total of 14 goals. SCUNTHORPE moved down to fifth place as they drew 0-0 at home to Blackpool. Scunthorpe have now had two blank score sheets in eight games played. PORTSMOUTH are now on 7 goals as they win 2-0 away to AFC Wimbledon. FLEETWOOD drew 2-2 at home against Oldham and are now on 9 goals. DONCASTER have picked up their fourth blank and now no goals in their last three games as they lost 1-0 away to Northampton. MK DONS have picked up another single goal as they win 1-0 away to PLYMOUTH. Mk Dons are now on 6 goals while Plymouth picked up their third blank score sheet. It’s 13 goals for BLACKBURN as they win 3-0 away to Rochdale. WIGAN have picked up their first blank score sheet after a run of six games as they lost 1-0 away to leaders Shrewsbury.

LEAGUE TWO
EXETER have remained in  top place here once again as they win 3-1 away to FOREST GREEN. Exeter after seven games are now on a total of 12goals while Forest Green are on nine. COLCHESTER on 3-1 at home to Crawley and that takes their goals tally to 11 goals while PORT VALE lost 1-0 away to COVENTRY to pick up their fourth blank in a row and now rock bottom of the league while Coventry are now on 7 goals after a spell of three blank score sheets. LUTON picked up their fourth blank of the season and now two in a row after they lost 3-0 at home to Swindon. MANSFIELD have picked up their highest score to date after they won 4-1 at home to Grimsby. Mansfield are now on a total of 12 goals. It’s 10 goals for LINCOLN CITY as they win 2-1 away to Stevenage.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership Celtic are joint top with ABERDEEN after their big win on Friday night. Aberdeen drew their game 0-0 away to Hearts over the weekend. That was Aberdeen’s first blank of the season. RANGERS are now in fourth place as they win 4-1 at home to bottom of the table Dundee. In the Championship, FALKIRK are second from bottom as they drew 1-1 away to Brechin but they are now on 19 goals. In league One RAITH ROVERS are top as they win 2-1 at home to Ary.Rovers are on 23 goals ans still our best team. They have scored in all of their last eight games. In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR are in third place as they win 1-0 at home to Cowdenbeath. That now gives Stenhousemuir a total of 11 goals. PETERHEAD are right behind them as they drew 1-1 at home to Montrose. Peterhead are now on a total of 16 goals to keep their nine game goal run in tack.  ELGIN CITY picked up their fifth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 at home to Annan.

ELGIN CITY have picked up the most number of blank score sheets with five in nine games played to date.

We have a new leader this weekend and they are GUY DOWSETT with his second combination. Guy has become the third player to hit the top spot this season with the combination of Celtic, Leeds Utd and Manchester Utd. He is two goals clear of last weeks leader Gary Bolbery.
At the other end at 149 we have JOHN DOVE this weekend who also becomes our third player to arrive there this season. John’s combination only picked him up a total of three goals from his combination of Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool.
