Week Sixteen

In Week sixteen of the competition we did not have any cash to win all due to the International games being played over the weekend. So next weekend we will have our third Rollover of the season worth a total of £12.
With only seven players picking up any goals this weekend, it was GUY DOWSETT  that picked up the most with just three goals. They came from Cover Rangers. His other teams are Celtic and Manchester City.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
We had just thirteen of us to pick up two goals this week and the race for the cash has changed slightly once more.
This week we have joint leaders both with a total of 38 goals we still have  COLIN WEBB (2) but he is now joined with RICHARD WILLIAMS moving up from second place. In joint second place we still have JACQUI WILLIAMS but she is now with SCOTT THOMSON (2) moving up from four, both on a total of 36 goals. In joint third place up we still have RYAN WILLIAMS with 35 goals but TOBY BICKNELL  moves up from fifth place to join him. In fourth place with 34 goals each we have ANDY EYLES and moving back in is TONY GUY (4). In fifth place all on 33 goals we still have SIMON DICKINSON, DANIEL HUGHES, PATRICK O’DONAGHUE, and ADAM SANSOM but coming back in this week we have JED WEARDEN. In sixth place both still on 32 goals we still have MIKE HARRINGTON and PHIL REEVE.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had just fourteen of our teams in action over the weekend but seven of them failed to score any goals. So the weekends average score fell again from four goals of last weekend to a flat zero this weekend. The reason for that is that only seven players picked up some weekend goals. The highest score that we had came from the Scottish League Two were COVE RANGERS won 3-0 at home against Brechin City. Cove Rangers are now five points clear at the top and they are now on a total of 44 goals. They have scored ten goals in their last four games.

LEAGUE ONE
We had just five of our teams in action here. The highest score came from BLACKPOOL as they won 2-0 at home to AFC Wimbledon. The win moves them up to fifth place and a total of 30 goals. MK DONS lost 1-0 away to Bolton. And that is their eleventh blank of the season. LINCOLN CITY lost 1-0 away to Gillingham and that is their sixth blank score sheet and now just two goals in their last six games. ROTHERHAM won 1-0 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY and they are now on 32 goals while Accrington picked up their seventh blank of the season and now five in a row.

LEAGUE TWO
We did a bit better here with six of our teams in action. FOREST GREEN ROVERS have moved down to second place after they lost 1-0 at home to PLYMOUTH. It’s now 30 goals for Plymouth while Rovers picked up their seventh blank score sheet. SCUNTHORPE won 2-0 away to LEYTON ORIENT and they are now on a total of 24 goals. Orient have picked up their sixth blank score sheet and now two goals in their last five games.MANSFIELD picked up their sixth blank score sheet after a goals run of even games as they drew 0-0 away to Maccelsfield. SALFORD CITY lost 3-2 at home to Swindon and they are now on a total of 24 goals.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
With our Scottish teams only three of the eight teams that we have, had a game this weekend.
In League One, FALKIRK drew 1-1 away to Dumbarton and they are now on 30 goals. PETERHEAD drew 0-0 at home to Montrose and that is their seventh blank of the season.

Our BEST three teams this week with Golden Goals are

CELTIC (48) COVE RANGERS (44) RANGERS (42) Total of 134 goals

OUR WORST THREE TEAMS ARE

NEWCASTLE (12) MIDDLESBROUGH (15) SHEFFIELD UNITED (15) Total of 42 goals

Our Best team is LIVERPOOL this week after they still have a 100% scoring record after fourteen games. They have a total of 35 goals which gives them an average score of 2.5 goals per game.

Our worst team is MK DONS again this weekend as they picked up their eleventh blank of the season. The Dons have scored just two goal in their last twelve games. They have a total of 19 goals.

Our highest goal scorers in our 37th Season is LEICESTER CITY from Week Thirteen as the beat Southampton 9-0 away in the league.

There has not been many changes in the table this week due to the lack of games, but that will all change next week
