We had plenty of our teams in action on Good Friday and here are the results.
In the Championship leaders NORWICH drew 1-1 away to PRESTON to pick up their 60th goal of the season and now have a goal run of eleven games. After a three game dry spell for goals, Preston are on a total of 47 goals. Just six points behind Norwich are WATFORD as they won 1-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Watford are on 58 goals. BOURNEMOUTH are now on a total of 67 goals as they win 3-1 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. Brough are on a total of 52 goals. BRISTOL CITY lost 2-0 at home to STOKE and that is their nineteenth blank and now three in a row. Stoke are on a total of 48 goals. CARDIFF lost 1-0 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST and they have now had a total of twelve blank score sheets. Forest are on a total of 33 goals. It’s 30 goals for DERBY as they win 2-0 at home to LUTON who picked up their eighteenth blank of the season. ROTHERHAM lost 1-0 away to Millwall and that is their twelfth blank of the season. READING drew 1-1 away to Barnsley and they are on a total of 55 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. BIRMINGHAM won 1-0 at home to SWANSEA and they are on 29 goals while Swansea picked up their ninth blank of the season and now three in a row.
In League One top of the table HULL won 2-1 away to CREWE. Its 70 goals for Hull and a goal run of eight games. Crewe picked up goal number 50. PETERBOROUGH are in second place just one point behind the leaders as they win 1-0 away to FLEETWOOD. Borough are on a total of 69 goals while Fleetwood picked up their seventeenth blank of the season. CHARLTON won 1-0 away to Doncaster and they are on 58 goals. ACCRINGTON STANLEY picked up their eleventh blank of the season and now two in a row as they drew 0-0 at home to Burton. PLYMOUTH won 1-0 at home to AFC Wimbledon and they are on 62 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 2-1 at home to Rochdale and they are on a total of 68 goals. SUNDERLAND have extended their goal run to nineteen games as they win 3-1 at home to OXFORD UNITED. Oxford are on 55 goals. SWINDON lost 2-0 at home to Blackpool and that is their fourteenth blank of the season.
In League Two CHELTENHAM are in
second place after they won 4-0 at home to TRANMERE ROVERS. Cheltenham
are on a total of 62 goals while Rovers picked up their fifteenth blank of the
season. BOLTON move into second place after they drew 0-0 at home to Colchester.
Bolton after a goal run of sixteen games, picked up their eighth blank score
sheet. SCUNTHORPE drew 0-0 at
home to Coventry and that is their fourteenth blank of the season. EXETER
picked up their eleventh blank of the season after they lost 1-0 away to Port
Vale. After not scoring in their last four games, SALFORD CITY are now
on a total of 44 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Grimsby. HARROGATE
drew 0-0 away to Walsall and they have now had a total of fifteenth blank score
sheets and now three in a row.
