Week Thirty-Five

In Week Thirty-Five of the competition we had our sixth Rollover of the season worth a total of £10 and it was shared between two winners. They are GRAHAM HARRIS and STUART KEMP (1) winning on a score of 10 goals each.

Graham picks up his first win of the season and becomes our 33rd winner of the season. Graham started with us in the 2018/19 Season on where he finished in 114th place with a total of 249 goals. He also won the 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot that season. Last season he finished in the winning frame in 14th place with 277 goals and one weekend win. This season Graham has been as high as 30th place in Week One. He has picked up a total of five blank weekend score sheets. Manchester City is his best team.

Stuart has now picked up his third win and two of these are now with his first combination. The last time that his first combo won was in Week Eleven with a shared Rollover. Stuart has also had five blank weekend score sheets and as he slowly moves up the table, 32 is his best place in Week One. His best team is Liverpool.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

So there was no change in the running order as only seven players picked up some goals this week. The race is now to see how many of us can get to that 100 or more midweek goals and to beat the best midweek score of 136 goals which is currently held by Daryl Nicholls from the 2016/17 Season. LYANNA GRIMWOOD is still the only player with 100 goals.  So Lyanna remains on a total of 105 goals. Her teams are Fulham. Manchester City and Sunderland. BOB SOPER is still second with a total of 97 goals. In third place is still LOUIE HARRINGTON and KEAMUS SETNA both with a total of 90 goals. In fourth place with 87 goals we have  COLIN WEBB and JAMIE WOOD. In fifth place we have CHRIS BOLBERY, MANGO (Paul Moran) and PETER WELLARD and all are on a total of 86 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but eight of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play, fourteen failed to score any goals. With that in mind our average score over the weekend stood at 4 goals.

The highest score we had was five goals and they came from TOTTENHAM.  They won 5-1 at home to Newcastle and they have now taken their goals tally up to 63 goals. Tottenham have now also scored a total of 17 goals in their last five games.

Tottenham are one of our original teams as they were our 10th voted English team in our first season of 1983/84. In that season they finished on a total of 71 goals. Their highest score is 109 goals and they have hit that score twice. First was in the 1986/87 Season and then again in 2016/17. Last season they finished on a total of 87 goals. This is their 38th Season with Golden Goals and over that time they have netted a total of 2825 goals. That now gives them an average score of 74 goals per season. After a bad start to the season they have picked up very well and have had a total of eleven blank score sheets to date. They have a total of seven votes this season.
