Week Seven

Here we are with Week Seven of the competition and the very sad news that the Queen died on Thursday at the age of 96. In a mark of respect, the football fixtures for north and south of the country have all been cancelled this weekend and rightly so as the nation mourns.

We here at Golden Goals would like to send our condolences to the royal family and thank the Queen Elizabeth II for her long service to the country. We will never see the likes of her again in our life time. The Queen's state funeral will be held on Monday 19 September at Westminster Abbey at 11.00 am.  We now have a new King, Charles III and we wish him all the very best in his new role in serving the country.
