Newcastle 3rd, United 4th

In the Premier League third place NEWCASTLE won 4-1 away to EVERTON to take their goals tally to 67 goals. Everton are on a total of 27 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED in fourth place drew 2-2 away to TOTTENHAM after going two goals up at half time. United are on a total of 76 goals while Tottenham are on 64 and a goal run of seven games. AFC BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 away to Southampton and they are on a total of 40 goals.

Arsenal or City?

In the Premier League top of the table ARSENAL lost 3-1 away to second place MANCHESTER CITY. Arsenal are on a total of 82 goals while City who are just two pints behind them with a game in hand, are now on a total of 104 goals. Both teams are on a goal run of 13 games each. LIVERPOOL won 2-1 away to WEST HAM and are on a total of 67 goals while West Ham hit goal number 40. BRIGHTON lost 3-1 away to Nottingham Forest and that is their 74th goal of the season. CHELSEA lost 2-0 at home to Brentford and they have now had a total of fifteen blank score sheets and now just one goal in their last five games. 

In the Championship, SHEFFIELD UNITED are still in second place after they won 2-0 at home to WEST BROM. United are on a total of 79 goals while West Brom picked up their 11th blank of the season.

Results over the last two days.

On Monday night in the Championship LUTON won 2-1 at home against MIDDLESBROUGH and they are on a total of 63 goals. Brough picked up goal number 84 and a goal run of 10 games now.

Last night in the Premier League, CRYSTAL PALACE lost 2-0 away to Wolves and picked up their 16th blank of the season and now two in a row. ASTON VILLA won 1-0 at home to FULHAM and they are on a total of 53 goals and have extended their goal run to 22 games. Fulham have now had a total of 9 blank score sheets. LEEDS UNITED drew 1-1 at home to LEICESTER CITY and are on a total of 55 goals and a goal run of eight games. Leicester are on a total of 53 goals. 

In the Championship promoted BURNLEY won 1-0 away to Blackburn Rovers and they are on a total of 93 goals. 

In League One top of the table PLYMOUTH won 2-0 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS and they have taken their goals total to 79. Rovers picked up their 14th blank of the season and now two in a row. IPSWICH in second place won 3-0 away to Barnsley. Ipswich are beating their goals record now with every game they score in. They are now on a total of 105 goals and a goal run of 13 games. LINCOLN CITY lost 1-0 at home to Burton and picked up their 17th blank of the season. OXFORD UNITED won 4-0 at home against Cheltenham and have taken their goals tally to 53.

In League Two MANSFIELD TOWN lost 2-1 at home to top of the table Leyton Orient and picked up their 72nd goal of the season and a goal run of 7 games now. SWINDON lost 1-0 at home to Stevenage and that is their 16th blank of the season.

Week Thirty-Nine

In Week Thirty-Nine of the competition and we had two players that picked up the highest score of 12 goals each. The players are LYANNA GRIMWOOD who picks up her third win of the season and ABBEY NEWMAN who becomes our 35th winner of the season. Lyanna has become the first player to of won three times this season, her last win was in Week Eleven with another shared win. Since then she has picked up another five blank weekend score sheets bringing her total to seven. Her highest position is still 33 in Week Eleven. Abbey has been with Golden Goals for a while now and last season she finished in 55th place with a total of 265 goals, with one full weekend win. This season Abbey has picked up a total of seven blank weekend score sheets and 41 is her highest position to date in Weeks Three and Five. Our winners teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us have managed to pick up some midweek goals again this week with another change in the leading pack for the £40 cash prize money this season. JUNE TIGHE picked up the most number of midweek goals with 10. They came from Ipswich, Liverpool and West Brom.

Still leading the race this week we have JAMES BLYTH now with a total of 97 goals. James now needs just 3 goals for the cash. His teams are Ipswich, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday. In second place we still have NICK HORTON now with a total of 92 goals. In third place we still have TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion with a total of 90 goals. In fourth place we still have RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion but he is now joined with KEITH THOMSON up from six and CHRIS NUNN coming back in to the race. All are on a total of 89 goals. In fifth place with 88 goals we have SIMON DICKINSON coming back in. In sixth place this week we still have COLIN WEBB but he now has GEOFF CARTHY and JUNE TIGHE  joining him, all with a total of 87 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but five of our teams in action and out of the the ones that did play, 13 failed to score any goals. Once again we did have a couple of  high scoring results this weekend and as everyone by one picked up some goals. Last weekend the average score was five goals. This weekend the average score fell down to 4 goals. The highest score that we had came from HEARTS and NEWCASTLE where both teams picked up their highest result with six goals each. 

FA CUP Semi-Finals

MANCHESTER CITY won 3-0 against SHEFFIELD UNITED and have taken their goals tally up to 100 goals. It’s their 9th time of hitting 100 goals for City and they become our third team to do so this our 40th Season. Sheffield picked up their 10th blank of the season. BRIGHTON drew 0-0 against MANCHESTER UNITED after the full 90 minutes and even after extra time the game remained 0-0. In the penalty shoot out, United won 7-6 and are through to the final to face Manchester City. Brighton picked up their 7th blank score sheet after a goal run of nine games. United picked up their 6th blank of the season.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal are still top of the table with Manchester City in second place. NEWCATLE are up to third place after they won 6-1 at home to TOTTENHAM. With their biggest result of the season, Newcastle are now on a total of 63 goals. Tottenham picked up their 62nd goal of the season. Manchester United have dropped down to fourth place. FULHAM won 2-1 at home to LEEDS UNITED  and are on a total of 53 goals while Leeds are on 54 and a goal run of seven games now. ASTON VILLA drew 1-1 away to Brentford and they are on 52 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 0-0 at home to EVERTON and picked up their 15th blank of the season while Everton picked up their 13th. LEICESTER CITY won 2-1 at home to Wolves and are on a total of 52 goals. LIVERPOOL won 3-2 at home to Nottingham Forest and are now on a total of 65 goals. BOURNEMOUTH lost 4-0 at home to WEST HAM and they have now had a total of 16 blank score sheets. West Ham have taken their goals tally to 39 and a goal run of six games. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Promoted BURNLEY lost 2-1 at home to QPR and have taken their goals total to 92 goals. Sheffield United played in the FA CUP but remain in second place. 

In the Play-Offs Luton are still in third place with Middlesbrough in fourth place. 

Meanwhile READING lost 2-1 away to Coventry and they are on a total of  49 goals. WATFORD picked up their 16th blank of the season after they lost 1-0 away to Hull. NORWICH lost 3-0 at home to SWANSEA and that is their 15th blank of the season. Swansea have taken their goals total to 68. WEST BROM lost 2-1 at home to SUNDERLAND and are on a total of 61 goals while Sunderland are on 68 goals.

LEAGUE ONE

PLYMOUTH are still at the top of the table after they won 3-1 at home against Cambridge Utd. Plymouth have now taken their goals tally to 77 goals. IPSWICH in second place won 3-0 away to PETERBOROUGH and they are on a total of 102 goals and have extended their goal run to 12 games. They become our second team to hit 100 goals and it’s their best total ever with Golden Goals. Peterborough picked up their 15th blank score sheet.

In the Play-Offs SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are now in third place after they won 2-1 at home to Exeter and they are on a total of 90 goals and a goal run of seven games. DERBY are up to sixth place after they won 1-0 at home to Burton. Derby are on a total of 81 goals.

Meanwhile  OXFORD UNITED picked up their 19th blank of the season after they lost 2-0 away to Barnsley. That is now just two goals in their last six games for Oxford. CHARLTON lost 3-2 at home to Morecambe and are on a total of 75 goals. Relegated FOREST GREEN ROVERS lost 3-1 away to Cheltenham. Rovers are on a total of 38 goals. MK DONS lost 1-0 away to Fleetwood and picked up their 18th blank of the season and now two in a row. BRISTOL ROVERS lost 2-0 away to Port Vale and picked up their 13th blank score sheet. LINCOLN CITY won 2-0 away to Wycombe and have taken their goals tally to 53 goals.  

LEAGUE TWO

The highest team that we have here is in the Play-Offs in fourth place where STOCKPORT COUNTY won 1-0 at home to Rochdale. Stockport are on a total of 72 goals and a goal run of 9 games now. SALFORD CITY moved in to sixth place after they won 3-2 away to Walsall. They have taken their goals tally to 70. BRADFORD CITY have moved up to seventh place after they drew 2-2 at home to GILLINGHAM.. Bradford are on a total of 58 goals while Gillingham are on 43 goals and a goal run of 8 games.

Meanwhile MANSFIELD TOWN drop out of the play-offs after they won 1-0 at home to Stevenage. Mansfield are on a total of 71 goals and a goal run of 6 games. SWINDON won 5-1 away to AFC WIMBLEDON and are now on a total of 58 goals while Wimbledon picked up goal number 51. SUTTON UNITED lost 4-1 away to Colchester and are on a total of 44 goals. CRAWLEY TOWN won 2-0 away to Hartlepool and they are on a total of 52 goals.

SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Premiership, Champions CELTIC drew 1-1 at home to Motherwell. Celtic have taken their goals total to 128 with a goal run of 32 games. RANGERS are still in second place after they lost 2-0 away to Aberdeen who are still in third place. After a goal run of 32 games, Rangers have picked up their 2nd blank of the season. Aberdeen are on a total of 73 goals and a goal run of 7 games. HEARTS are still in fourth place after they won 6-1 at home against Ross County. Hearts are now on a total of 61 goals. HIBERNIAN drew 1-1 away to St Johnston and they are on a total of 59 goals and a goal run of 11 games.

In League One ALLOA are still in fourth place after they drew 1-1 at home to Falkirk. Alloa are on a total of 61 goals. After they had failed to score in their last four games, KELTY HEARTS drew 2-2 away to FC Edinburgh and they are on a total of 39 goals.

In League Two, STENHOUSEMUIR lost 3-1 away to Albion and they are on a total of 62 goals. After they had failed to score in their last two games, BONNYRIGG ROSE won 1-0 away to Forfar and are now on a total of 40goals.

Our highest goal scorers in our 40th Season are CELTIC who won 9-0 away to Dundee Utd in the league and LIVERPOOL winning 9-0 at home to Bournemouth in the league both from Week Five. 

Our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with combo two, has remained at the top for his 26th consecutive weekend. Tony picked up a total of 6 goals this week from Arsenal, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday and he is now 7 goals in front now.

James Blyth has moved up to second place this weekend, after picking up a total of 12 goals this week. His teams are Ipswich, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday.

At the other end at 108 we have  JOHN NICHOLLS for his second weekend there. John picked up a total of  just 3 goals for the week. John’s  teams are  Bristol Rovers, Everton and Leeds United. 

There have been a few changes in the race to be our 40th Champion this week.

Arsenal Stumble against Southampton

In the Premier League ARSENAL managed to pick up a point in their 3-3 draw against bottom of the table Southampton with a very late goal. Arsenal are now on a total of 81 goals and a goal run of 12 games. They are now just 5 points in front of Manchester City who have two games in hand of them.

Luton Remain Third

In the Championship NORWICH drew 1-1 away to QPR and that is their 60th goal of the season. SWANSEA won 4-2 at home to Preston and they have taken their goals total to 65. WATFORD lost 3-1 at home to Cardiff and they are on a total of 52 goals. MIDDLESBROUGH won 3-1 at home to Hull and they have taken their goals tally to 83 and a goal run of nine games now. READING drew 1-1 at home against LUTON and they are on a total of 48 goals while Luton hit goal number 61 and remain in third place.

Burnley Win Just Two of their last five League Games

In the Championship promoted BURNLEY drew 2-2 away to Rotherham and that takes their goals tally up to 91 goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place won 1-0 at home to Bristol City and picked up goal number 77. It’s 60 goals for WEST BROM as they win 2-0 away to Blackpool. SUNDERLAND drew 1-1 at home to HUDDERSFIELD. Sunderland are on 66 goals while Huddersfield picked up goal number 44. 

In League One PLYMOUTH are on top here after they won 2-1 away to Shrewsbury and they are on a total of 74 goals. IPSWICH in second place won 2-1 at home against Port Vale and they are on a total of 99 goals and have now scored in all of their last eleven games. PETERBOROUGH won 2-1 away to Accrington and are on 79 goals. BRISTOL ROVERS lost 2-1 at home against SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Rovers are on a total of 56 goals while Wednesday are on a total of 88 and a goal run of six games. It’s 80 goals for DERBY after they won 2-1 away to Exeter. Relegated FOREST GREEN ROVERS drew 0-0 at home to Fleetwood and picked up their 19th blank of the season. LINCOLN CITY picked up their 16th blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 at home to Barnsley. MK DONS lost 1-0 at home to CHARLTON. The Dons after a goal run of seven games, picked up their 17th blank of the season. Charlton are on 73 goals. After they had failed to score in their last two games, OXFORD UNITED are now on a total of 49 goals after they drew 1-1 at home to Portsmouth.

Week Thirty-Eight

In Week Thirty-Eight of the competition and we had our 4th Rollover in our 40th Season. We had just one player that picked up the highest score of 11 goals and to claim the full Rollover Cash of £10. That player is JAMES BLYTH who picks up his second win of the season. James last won back in Week Four with a shared win and becomes the tenth player to have won twice this season. Since then James has picked up a total of five blank score sheets at the weekend. He has been at the top for one week in Week Eleven. This is the second time that he has picked up 11 goals at the weekend. His teams are

So for the third weekend running, the average score for this weekend remained at 5 goals.The highest score that we had came from IPSWICH TOWN where they won 6-0 at home against CHARLTON. Ipswich have taken their goals tally up to 97 goals which is their best to date and now with a goal run of 10 games. Charlton picked up their 13th blank of the season.

Ipswich Town became our 52nd voted English team to entre into Golden Goals. In their first season of 1986/87, they finished with a total of 64 goals. Their highest score was of 94 goals and they picked up them up twice, first in the 1997/98 Season and then again in the 2002/03 Season. Last season they finished on a total of 70 goals. This is their 25th Season with us and over the years they have netted a total of 1777 goals. this now gives them an average score of 71 goals per season. They have a total of five votes this season.

MK DONS drew 2-2 at home to Cheltenham and are on a total of 53 goals and a goal run of 7 games. OXFORD UNITED picked up their 18th blank of the season and now two in a row after they lost 1-0 at home to Bolton.

The highest team that we have here is in the Play-Offs in fourth place as STOCKPORT COUNTY drew 1-1 away to GILLINGHAM. Stockport are on a total of 69 goals and a goal run of 7 games now. Gillingham picked up their 39th goal of the season and they have now scored in all of their last 6 games. BRADFORD CITY are in sixth place as they win 3-0 away to Rochdale. SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Premiership, Champions CELTIC won 4-1 away to Kilmarnock which now means that Celtic have taken their total to 127 and a goal run of 31 games. RANGERS in second place won 5-2 at home against St Mirren. Rangers are now on a total of 95 goals. Aberdeen are still in third place after their win on Friday night. HEARTS are still in fourth place after they lost again 1-0 away to HIBERNIAN. Hearts picked up their 13th blank of the season and now two in a row. Hearts have now scored just one goal in their last five games. Hibs take their goal total to 58.

In League One ALLOA in fourth place won 1-0 away to KELTY HEARTS. Alloa are on a total of 60 goals while Kelty picked up their 15th blank score sheet and now four games without a goal.

At the other end at 108 we have our fourth player to stay there this season and it’s JOHN NICHOLLS after he picked up a total of  just 4 goals for the week. John’s  teams are  Bristol Rovers, Everton and Leeds United. But there is good news for John and that is he has started to climb up our Losers League to 39th place. John has beaten his own score of 131 goals from the 2020/21 Season.

Middlesbrough Keep play-off place

In the Championship, MIDDLESBROUGH who are still in the play-offs won 5-1 at home to NORWICH. Brough are now on a total of 80 goals and a goal run of 8 games now. Norwich are on a total of 59 goals. 

In the Scottish Premiership ABERDEEN won 1-0 away to Ross County. Aberdeen in third place picked up their 71st goal of the season and a goal run of six games.

Easter Monday Results

In the Champions League, Champions BURNLEY won 2-0 at home against 10 men SHEFFIELD UNITED who are in 2nd place. Burnley are now on a total of 89 goals while United picked up their 9th blank score sheet.

In the Play-Offs LUTON are in 3rd place as they win 3-1 at home against Blackpool and have taken their goals tally to 58. MIDDELSBROUGH in 4th place drew 2-2 away to Bristol City and are on a total of 75 goals and a goal run of seven games.

Meanwhile HUDDERSFIELD drew 2-2 at home against Blackburn and they have taken their goals tally to 43. SUNDERLAND won 1-0 away to Cardiff and are on a total of 63 goals. WATFORD drew 2-2 away to Coventry and have taken their goals total to 49 goals. NORWICH picked up their 14th blank of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to Rotherham. READING lost 2-1 away to Preston and they are on a total of 47 goals. WEST BROM drew 2-2 at home to QPR and they are on a total of 56 goals. It’s 60 goals for SWANSEA as they win 2-0 away to Wigan. 

In League One SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY move back to the top after they won 3-0 at home to Accrington. Wednesday are now on a total of 84 goals. PLYMOUTH are back down to 2nd place after they lost 2-0 at home against LINCOLN CITY. Plymouth picked up their 8th blank of the season while Lincoln are on a total of 48 goals.

In the Play-Offs, IPSWICH are down to 3rd place after they drew 1-1 away to Cheltenham. Ipswich picked up goal number 91 and a goal run of nine games. PETERBOROUGH are now in 5th place after they won 3-1 at home against Exeter. Borough are now on a total of 77 goals.

Meanwhile CHARLTON won 3-2 at home to Burton and they are now on a total of 72 goals. DERBY are on 77 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to MK DONS who are on 51 goals and a goal run of six games. BRISTOL ROVERS won 2-1 away to Fleetwood and they are on a total of 54 goals. OXFORD UNITED picked up their 17th blank of the season after they drew 0-0 away to Port Vale. Bottom of the table FOREST GREEN ROVERS lost 2-0 away to Wycombe and picked up their 18th blank of the season and now three in a row. They look certain to get relegated. 

In League Two STOCKPORT COUNTY are in 3rd place after they won 4-0 at home to Newport. County are now on a total of 68 goals and a goal run of six games.

In the Play-Offs BRADFORD CITY are still in 6th place after they won 3-1 at home against SUTTON UNITED. Bradford are now on a total of 53 goals. Sutton take their goals total to 42. SALFORD CITY have moved up to 7th place as they win 3-2 away to AFC WIMBLEDON. Salford are now on a total of 65 goals while Wimbledon are on 49 goals.

Meanwhile CRAWLEY TOWN lost 4-0 away to Barrow and that is their 15th blank of the season and now two in a row. MANSFIELD TOWN drew 1-1 at home to Rochdale and that is goal number 67 for them. GILLINGHAM lost 2-1 away to Northampton and they are on a total of 38 goals. SWINDON lost 1-0 away to Tranmere and that is their 14th blank of the season.

Week Thirty-Seven

In Week Thirty-Seven of the competition we had no prize money due to the Easter fixtures this weekend. But next weekend we will have our 4th Rollover in our 40th Season worth £10 once again. We had a total of seven players that picked up the highest score of 8 goals each this weekend.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us have managed to pick up some midweek goals again this week with another change in the leading pack for the £40 cash prize money this season. It was BOB SOPER that picked up the most with 7 goals. they came from Manchester City, Newcastle and Norwich.

Leading the race again this week we have JAMES BLYTH with a total of 89 goals. James now needs just 11 goals for the cash. His teams are Ipswich, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday. In second place we still have TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion but also FIONA CARTHY moving up from three. Both are on a total of 84 goals. In third place up from four we have NICK HORTON and RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion both on a total of 82 goals. In fourth place we now have COLIN WEBB down from three with a total of 81 goals. In fifth place with 80 goals is (me) STEVE REEVE moving down from fourth place. In sixth place this week we still have MARK GREGORY and KEITH THOMSON but also CHRIS DICKER moving down from five. Al, are on a total of 79 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had just 25 of our teams in action and out of the the ones that did play, 8 failed to score any goals. We did have a couple of  high results this weekend and as everyone picked up some goals, I thought that I would give you the average score. So for the second weekend in a row, the average score for this weekend remained at 5 goals.The highest score that we had on Easter Sunday came from CRYSTAL PALACE after they won 5-1 away to LEEDS UNITED. Palace picked up their biggest result of the season and are now on a total of 32 goals. Leeds picked up goal number 52.

Palace became our 69th English team to join Golden Goals in the 1988/89 Season on where they finished on a total of 82 goals. Their best season was in the 1996/97 Season with 93 goals. Last season they had a final score of 60 goals. This is their 24th Season with us and over the years they have now netted a total of 1569 goals. This gives them an average score of 65 goals per season. This season they have just one vote and they have had a total of fourteen blank score sheets to date.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Top of the table ARSENAL drew 2-2 away to LIVERPOOL and have taken their goals total to 76 goals and a goal run of ten games now. Liverpool have taken their goals tally to 56 goals. MANCHESTER CITY in second place are now 6 points behind the leaders after they won 4-1 away to Southampton. City are now on a total of 94 goals and a goal run of ten games, NEWCATLE. In third place won 2-1 away to Brentford and they are on a total of 57 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in fourth place after they won 2-0 at home to EVERTON. United and are on a total of 72 goals while Everton picked up their 12th blank of the season. ASTON VILLA won 2-0 at home against Nottingham Forest and that has taken their goals total to 48 and have extended their goal run to nineteen games. FULHAM picked up their 8th blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 at home to WEST HAM. West Ham are on a total of 33 goals. LEICESTER CITY lost 1-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH and that is their 12th blank of the season. Bournemouth are on a total of 36 goals. TOTTENHAM are on 59 goals after they won 2-1 at home against BRIGHTON. Brighton picked up their 71st goal of the season and a goal run of eight games now. CHELSEA lost 1-0 away to Wolves and that is their 14th blank of the season and now no goals in their last three games.

SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Premiership, Champions CELTIC won 3-2 at home to rivals RANGERS who are in second place. Celtic’s goals take’s them to a total of 123 and a goal run of 30 games. Rangers are on a total of 90 goals. ABERDEEN have moved up to third place after they won 2-0 at home against Kilmarnock and have taken their goals total to 70 goals. HEARTS are down to fourth place after they lost 2-0 at home to St Mirren. That is Hearts 12th blank of the season. HIBERNIAN lost 2-1 away to Dundee Utd and they are on a total of 57 goals and a goal run of eight games.

In League One ALLOA are still in fourth place after they lost 2-1 at home to Queen of South and picked up their 59th goal of the season. KELTY HEARTS picked up their 14th blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 at home to Clyde Kelty have failed to score any goals in their last three games now.

In League Two, STENHOUSEMUIR drew 0-0 at home to BONNYRIGG ROSE and picked up their 3rd blank of the season while Bonnyrigg picked up their 9th after a goal run of six games.

Our highest goal scorers in our 40th Season are CELTIC who won 9-0 away to Dundee Utd in the league and LIVERPOOL winning 9-0 at home to Bournemouth in the league both from Week Five.  Our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with combo two, has remained at the top for his 24th consecutive weekend. Tony picked up a total of 6 goals this week from Arsenal, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday and he is 5 goals in front nowTony has moved up to 35th place in our Champions League this weekend. He has beaten our 1997/98 joint Champions Mike Harrington/David Salmon’s total of 276 goals and  Alec Short’s 1988/89 score of 280 goals. Mark Gregory in second place, picked up a total of 9 goals this week. His teams are Celtic, Manchester City and Norwich.

At the other end at 108 we have MANDY WRIGHT moving back down after she picked up a total of  just 3 goals for the week. Mandy’s teams are  AFC Bournemouth, Swansea and West Ham. Sandra has now been there for a total of 15 weeks throughout the season.  

The top ten over Easter has remained the same, well all most, as the final weeks are coming up. It now looks like a two horse race to the finish. Our Champion will be picking up a total of £240.

Good Friday Results

In the Championship it’s congratulations to BURNLEY as they are now promoted to the premier league after they won 2-1 away to MIDDLESBROUGH. Burnley are on a total of 87 goals after they had failed to score in their previous two games. Brough are on a total of 73 goals and a goal run of six games. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place won 1-0 at home to Wigan and that goal now gives them a total of 72 goals.

In the Play-Offs LUTON in third place drew 0-0 away to Millwall and picked up their 10th blank of the season after a goal run of seven games. Middlesbrough are in fourth place.

Meanwhile, WEST BROM picked up their 54th goal of the season after they lost 3-1 away to Rotherham. After two blank score sheets, NORWICH won 2-0 away to Blackburn and they are on a total of 58 goals. READING drew 1-1 at home to Birmingham and are on a total of 46 goals. SWANSEA picked up their 11th blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 at home to Coventry. WATFORD lost 3-2 at home against HUDDERSFIELD and are on a total of 47 goals. Huddersfield are now on a total of 41 goals. SUNDERLAND drew 4-4 at home against Hull and they have taken their goals tally to 62. 

In League One PLYMOUTH are back on top after they won 3-1 away to Morecambe and have taken their gals total to 71 goals. IPSWICH are now in second place after they won 4-0 at home to Wycombe. Ipswich are now on a total of 90 goals and a goal run of eight games.

In the Play-Offs, SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY have dropped down to third place after they drew 1-1 away to OXFORD UNITED. Wednesday are on a total of 81 goals while Oxford hit goal number 48. PETERBOROUGH are in sixth place after they won 3-0 away to Shrewsbury and are now on a total of 74 goals.

Meanwhile, after they had failed to score in their last two games, BRISTOL ROVERS are now on a total of 52 goals as they win 1-0 at home against CHARLTON who picked up their 12th blank of the season. Bottom of the table FOREST GREEN ROVERS, lost 2-0 at home to DERBY and that is their 17th blank score sheet and now two in a row. Derby are on a total of 76 goals after a three game dry spell for goals. LINCOLN CITY won 2-0 at home to Cheltenham and they are on a total of 46 goals. It’s 50 goals for MK DONS as they drew 1-1 at home to Portsmouth. 

In League Two the highest team that we have here are in the Play-Offs in fifth place and they are STOCKPORT COUNTY. They won 1-0 away to SUTTON UNITED. Stockport are on a total of 64 goals while Sutton picked up their 16th blank of the season and now just one goal in their last five games. BRADFORD CITY are in sixth place and they drew 0-0 away to CRAWLEY TOWN. Both teams have picked up their 14th blank of the season.  MANSFIELD TOWN are in seventh place after they won 4-2 away to SWINDON. Mansfield are now on a total of 66 goals while Swindon are on a total of 52 goals.

United Move Back to Fourth Place

In the Premier League, NEWCASTLE have remained in third place after they thrashed WEST HAM 5-1 away. Newcastle have now taken their goals tally up to 55 goals while West Ham picked up their 32nd goal of the season. Its 70 goals for MANCHESTER UNITED after they won 1-0 at home to Brentford. United have moved back up to fourth place.

More Premier League Results

In the Premier League CHELSEA drew 0-0 at home against LIVERPOOL and that is their 13th blank of the season and now two games in a row. Liverpool picked up their 9th blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last three games. BOURNEMOUTH lost 1-0 at home to BRIGHTON and have now had a total of 15 blank score sheets. Brighton picked up goal number 70 and a goal run of seven games now. LEEDS UNITED won 2-1 at home against Nottingham Forest and have taken their goals total to 51 goals. LEICESTER CITY lost 2-1 at home to ASTON VILLA. City are now on a total of 49 goals while Villa are on 46 and have extended their goal run to eighteen games.

Week Thirty-Six

In Week Thirty-Six of the competition and we had one player winning on a total of 12 goals this weekend. They are DAVE WOOD who pick up his second win of the season. Dave picks up our 3rd Rollover in our 40th Season worth £10. Dave last won in Week Fourteen on a score of 13 goals. Since then he has picked up four more blank weekend score sheets which brings his total to five. Ninth is still his highest position but this is his best since Christmas. His winning teams are

Derby picked up their 14th blank of the season and now three games in a row. PETERBOROUGH have moved up to sixth place after they drew 0-0 at home against OXFORD UNITED. Borough picked up their 13th blank of the season while Oxford picked up their 16th.

Meanwhile AFC WIMBLEDON lost 1-0 at home to Rochdale and picked up their 16th blank of the season. GILLINGHAM lost 2-1 away to Barrow and they are on a total of 36 goals. It’s 50 goals for SWINDON after they lost 2-1 away to Hartlepool. After failing to score in their previous two games,  MANSFIELD TOWN won 4-1 at home to CRAWLEY TOWN and have taken their goals total to 62 goals.
