Week Eleven

In Week Eleven of the competition we have had a very quiet week. Due to the Euro qualifying rounds, only a hand full of teams have played. The good news is that we will be back to a full league fixture at the weekend and our second Rollover of the season worth a total of £10.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

None of us picked up any goals in midweek because we did not have any of our teams playing. This is all due to the Euro qualifying rounds that have been played this week. So the leaders remained the same as last weeks sheet.

We have two out in front with BAILEY MORAN and our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS both with a total of 28 goals. In second place we have CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) with a total of 27 goals. In third place we have ANDY EYLES with a total of 26 goals. In fourth place with 25 goals we have JAMES SOMERVILLE. In fifth place we have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY, MARK JOHNSTON, TONY KING and PETER PORTER. All with a total of 23 goals. In sixth place we have GEOFF CARTHY and RICHIE WILLIAMS both are on a total of 22 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We only had 7 of our teams in action over the weekend and one of them failed to score any goals. That means that only 18 of us picked up any goals this week. Here are the results of all of our teams that did manage to play this weekend.

LEAGUE ONE

We had just one of our teams in action over the weekend and they were BLACKPOOL. They have moved up to seventh place after they won 3-0 at home to Stevenage. Blackpool have no won 3 of their last 5 games league games. They have taken their goals tally to 17.

LEAGUE TWO

NOTTS COUNTY have dropped down to second place after they lost 4-1 at home to Mansfield after they went a goal up. County are now on a total of 28 goals and a goal run of 10 league/cup games. AFC WIMBLEDON lost 1-0 at home to Bradford and picked up their third blank of the season and now two games without a goal. SUTTON UNITED lost 4-1 away to Doncaster and they are on a total of 21 goals. MK DONS drew 2-2 at home to Barrow and they are on a total of 19 goals. WREXHAM won 3-2 at home to SALFORD CITY and they are now on a total of 24 goals. Salford are also on a total of 24 goals.

Our BEST three teams this week

IPSWICH (32) FALKIRK (31) LEICESTER CITY (28) Total of 91 goals

Our WORST three teams are

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY (7) NOTTINGHAM FOREST (8) BOURNEMOUTH (10) Total of 25 goals

Our Best performing team is IPSWICH TOWN after they have now scored in all of their 14 league/cup games. They have a total of 32 goals which gives them an average score of 2 goals per game.

Our worst performing team is SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY this weekend as they have picked up seven blank score sheets out of their 13 league/cup games.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 41st Season are now NEWCASTLE UNITED after they won 8-0 away to Sheffield United in Week Eight.  BARNSLEY pick up our second highest score after they won 7-0 at home to Port Vale in the first league game of the season in Week One.

We still have PETER PORTER out in front for his second weekend. Peter like most of us this week, did not have any of his teams playing. His teams are Barnsley, Celtic and Leicester City.  He is now just one goal clear of Lucifer (John Wood) who has moved up to second place. Lucifer’s teams are  Ipswich, Manchester City and Salford City.

At the other end at 110 we still have JOHN NICHOLLS who stays there for his second weekend, Again he had none of his teams playing. John has Bristol Rovers, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.

We had just a little change in our top ten this week.
