In the first game of the Carabao/League Cup semi-finals, first leg, ARSENAL lost the first round 2-0 at home to NEWCASTLE UNITED. Arsenal, who had scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games, picked up their fifth blank of the season. Newcastle are on a total of 43 goals and have now extended their goal run to 10 league/cup games.
In League One HUDDERSFIELD TOWN remained in fourth place, after they won 1-0 away to Wycombe. Huddersfield are on a total of 42 goals.
