More Cup and League Results

The the Carabao/League Cup Semi-Final Second leg game, It was MANCHESTER UNITED who won this round against rivals MANCHESTER CITY by winning 1-0 away, but they lost 3-2 on aggregate. United’s single goal now gives them a total of 51, while City after a goal run of twenty-one games, comes to the end with their second blank score sheet of the season.

In the Premier League, Champions LIVERPOOL are now 19 points in front of second place Manchester City after they won 2-0 away to troubled WEST HAM.  Liverpool have now taken their goals tally to 66 goals and have now scored in all of their last nine games. West Ham near relegation picked up their ninth blank score sheet and no goals from their last two games.

In League One, SUNDERLAND won 1-0 away to Tranmere and that is their 46th goal of the season.

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC remained top after they won 3-0 away to St Johnstone and they are now on a total of 79 goals and have extended their goal run to eighteen games. RANGERS are in second place and five points behind Celtic but with a game in hand as they win 2-0 at home to Ross County. Rangers are now on a total of 66 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eight games.

Cup and League Results

In the first of the Carabao/League Cup Semi-Final second leg games, ASTON VILLA won 2-1 at home against LEICESTER CITY to win 3-2 on aggregate. Villa are now on a total of 50 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Leicester picked up goal number 67 and they have now scored in all of their last nine games.

In the Scottish WILLIAM HILL CUP Fourth Round Replay, FALKIRK are through to the next round after they won the replay 2-0 at home to Arbroath. Falkirk are now on a total of 56 goals.

In the Championship, LEEDS UNITED are back on top after they beat Millwall 3-2 at home after going two goals down in the first half. Leeds are now on a total of 51 goals. WEST BROM lost 2-1 away to CARDIFF. West Brom are now on a total of 54 goals while Cardiff take theirs to 48. BLACKBURN ROVERS won 2-1 at home to QUEENS PARK RANGERS and they are now on a total of 47 goals and have now scored in all of their last seven games. NOTTINGHAM FOREST are now on 44 goals as they win 1-0 away to BRENTFORD. Brentford picked up their twelfth blank of the season and now three in a row. HUDDERSFIELD won 2-1 away to Hull and they are now on 33 goals. LUTON won 3-2 at home against DERBY and they are now on a total of 43 goals while Derby are now on 33. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY lost 2-1 away to Wigan and they are now on 44 goals.

In League One, ROTHERHAM are back on top after they won 1-0 at home to IPSWICH who are now down to third place. Rotherham picked up goal number 63 and have now scored in all of their last ten games. Ipswich picked up their eighth blank of the season. It’s 60 goals for PETERBOROUGH as they win 2-0 away to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Accrington picked up their eighth blank score sheet. After a two game blank score sheets DONCASTER won 3-1 at home to SOUTHEND and that has now given them a total of 41 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 2-0 away to LINCOLN CITY and they are now on a total of 54 goals and they have extended their goal run to nineteen games. Lincoln picked up their eleventh blank score sheet and now two in a row. After a two game dry spell for goals, MK DONS are now on 35 as they win 2-1 at home to Rochdale. BLACKPOOL lost 2-1 away to Wycombe and that is goal number 44 after a two game dry spell.

In League Two, BRADFORD drew 1-1 at home to Cheltenham and they are now on a total of 37 after a two game dry spell for goals. SALFORD CITY won 4-0 away to Cambridge Utd and they are now on a total of 42 goals. LEYTON ORIENT picked up their tenth blank of the season as they lost 2-0 away to Crewe. FOREST GREEN picked up goal number 41 but lost 4-1 at home to Carlisle. SCUNTHORPE lost 3-0 away to Grimsby and that is their ninth blank of the season. OLDHAM won 3-1 at home against MANSFIELD. Oldham have taken their goals tally up to 35 while Mansfield are on 44. PLYMOUTH drew 2-2 at home to Crawley and they are now on a total of 53 goals and have now scored in all of their last eight games.

Arsenal Through to Next Round of Cup

We had the last game of the FA CUP Fourth Round and no replay although ARSENAL went two goals up before they finally won 2-1 away to Bournemouth. Arsenal are now on a total of 45 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eight games.

Week Twenty-Six

In Week Twenty-Six of the competition we had two winners who won on a score of 13 goals each and shared the Jackpot Cash Prize Money of £6. One of our winners became our 28th of the season while the other one picked up his fourth win of the season. That player is CLIFF BAMBRIDGE. Cliff  last won in Week Twenty-One in which he shared the cash. He has still only had two blank score sheets and Manchester City is still his best team. Our new winner is  CHRIS DICKER and he has been with us since the 2011/12 Season. In his first season he finished in 96th place with a total of 237 goals. Last season Chris finished just outside of the winning frame in 29th place with 312 goals. This season he has been as high as fifth place in Week Two. He has picked up a total of four blank score sheets to date and he’s best team is Manchester City. Here is our winners combination

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All but one of us managed to pick up some more goals this week but we had three players that picked up the most with eight goals each. They were BARBARA BARNES (1), MIKE LIDDLE and JACQUI WILLIAMS. There are now a total of eighty players that now are on a total of 50 or more midweek goals this week as another twenty-five reached the halfway mark..
PATRICK O’DONAGHUE has remained in the lead now with a total of 74 goals. Patrick picked up a three goals from Liverpool and Manchester City. His other team is Fulham. In second place we now have ANDY EYLES moving up from three with 69 goals. COLIN WEBB (2) from second place last week falls down to third with 68 goals. In fourth place we have PHIL REEVE moving back down from three on 67 goals. In fifth place all on 66 goals we still have TONY GUY (1) but he is now with AVA & AUBREY CLARK down from four and back in the race we have BARBARA BARNES (1) and MATT DORAN. In sixth place both on 65 goals we have TONY GUY (4) down from four and DANNY HARRINGTON down from fifth place..

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had nineteen of our teams without a game and another seven that failed to score any goals. But the good news is that this weekends average score moved up from four goals of last weekend to 6 goals this weekend. The good news is that all but one player picked up some goals thanks again to that Celtic and Manchester City combo.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from two of our teams. MANCHESTER UNITED picked up their highest result of the season as they win 6-0 away to Tranmere in the FA CUP Fourth Round. United are now on a total of 50 goals after a two game dry spell for goals. The Other team came from the Scottish League One where FALKIRK won 6-0 at home to Forfar. It’s the second game that Falkirk have netted six goals and they are now on a total of 54 goals.

FA CUP Fourth Round
We had a total of nineteen of our teams in cup action over the weekend. We already know that Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday are both through but who else has made it through to the next round.
Well MANCHESTER CITY will be as they win 4-0 at home to FULHAM. City are now on a total of 85 goals while Fulham picked up their eighth blank of the season and now two in a row. LEICESTER CITY won 1-0 away to BRENTFORD and that is their 66th goal of the season while Brentford picked up their eleventh blank score sheet and now two in a row. CHELSEA won 2-1 away to Hull and they are now on 53 goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED won 2-0 away to Millwall and they have taken their goals tally up to 31 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 4-2 at home against BARNSLEY and they are now on a total of 52 goals and have extended their goal run to eighteen games. Barnsley after a two game dry spell for goals are now on 40. WEST BROM won 1-0 away to WEST HAM and that is their 53rd goals while West Ham picked up their eighth blank score sheet.
Now we do have a few teams in replays they are Derby from Friday night, LIVERPOOL who drew 2-2 away to SHREWSBURY after going two goals up. Liverpool are now on 64 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eight games. BIRMINGHAM picked up their tenth blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 away to Coventry. NEWCASTLE drew 0-0 at home to Oxford Utd and that is their eighth blank score sheet of the season. CARDIFF drew 1-1 away to Reading and that is their 46th goal of the season TOTTENHAM drew 1-1 away to Southampton and they are now on 42 goals.

CHAMPIONSHIP
We had just one game to be played over the weekend here and that was STOKE who won 2-0 at home to Swansea. Stoke are now on a total of 40 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
IPSWICH are back on top after they won 1-0 at home against LINCOLN CITY. Ipswich are now on 45 goals while Lincoln picked up their tenth blank score sheet. ROTHERHAM are down to second place after they lost 2-1 away to PETERBOROUGH who are in fifth place. Rotherham are now on 62 goals and have now scored in all of their last nine games. Peterborough are now on a total of 58 goals. ACCRINGTON STANLEY drew 1-1 away to Burton and they are now on 38 goals and have now scored in all of their last ten games. 

LEAGUE TWO
PLYMOUTH have moved up to third place after they won 2-1 away to Sevenage to take their goals tally to 51 and they have now scored in all of their last seven games.
We have just one team in the Play-Off zone now and they are BRADFORD CITY who have moved down to seventh place after they lost 3-0 away to MANSFIELD. Bradford have now failed to score in their last two games as they pick up blank number eight. Mansfield have taken their goals total up to 43.
Meanwhile LEYTON ORIENT won 2-1 at home against Newport and they are now on 37 goals. FOREST GREEN ROVERS lost 2-1 away to Maccelsfield and that is their 40th goal of the season. SALFORD CITY drew 1-1 at home to OLDHAM and they are now on 38 goals while Oldham are now on 32. It’s 40 goals for SCUNTHORPE as they drew 2-2 at home to Crewe.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Premiership, CELTIC remain at the top after they won 3-0 at home to Ross County. Celtic are now on a total of 76 goals and they have extended their goal run to seventeen games. RANGERS lost 2-1 away to bottom of the table HEARTS after they went a goal up. Rangers are now on 64 goals and have now scored in all of their last seven games. Rangers are now five points behind their rivals Celtic. Hearts are now on a total of 35 goals.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are still there as they win 4-3 at home to Montrose. Rovers are now on a total of 49 goals. Falkirk are still in second place after their big win at the weekend and PETERHEAD are now on 29 goals as they lost 2-0 at home to Dumbarton.
In League Two, COVE RANGERS are still top and still five points clear as they win 2-0 at home to Annan. Rangers are now on a total of 63 goals and they have now scored in all of their last twelve games. It’s 30 goals for STENHOUSEMUIR as they lost 2-1 at home to Edinburgh City.

Our worst team this week is MK DONS They have picked up a total of thirteen blank score sheets in thirty-one games played. The Dons have failed to score in their last two games. They have a total of 33 goals and two votes.

Our highest goal scorers in our 37th Season is LEICESTER CITY from Week Thirteen as the beat Southampton 9-0 away in the league.  

It’s all change at the top again this week as BARBARA BARNES (1) moves back to the top for her second weekend of the season. Barbara picked up a total of 16 goals this week from her combination of Celtic, Leicester City and Manchester City. Barbara is now two goals in front of BRADLEY CLARK who has moved up to second place. Bradley picked up a total of 15 goals for the week. He has Celtic, Liverpool and Manchester City.
At the other end at 123 The SAINT has remained at the bottom, as he picks up a total of six goals for the week. This now means that The Saint has been at the bottom for a total of nineteen weeks. His teams are once again Barnsley, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

FA CUP Fourth Round

We did not have a very good night with our Golden Goals teams as most of them failed to score any goals.
In the first games of the FA CUP Fourth Round, the only team through so far are SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY as they won 2-1 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS. Wednesday are now on a total of 43 goals while Rangers picked up their 55th goal of the season. DERBY drew 0-0 away to Northampton and that is their eleventh blank of the season.

In League One, SUNDERLAND drew 0-0 at home to DONCASTER to pick up their eighth blank score sheet, while Doncaster also picked up their eighth blank score sheet but now two games in a row without a goal.

In the Premier League, this season’s Champions LIVERPOOL are now 16 points and a game in hand over Manchester City in second place as they beat WOLVES 2-1 away. Liverpool are now on a total of 62 goals and they have scored in all of their last seven games. Wolves picked up goal number 37.

More Results, More Goals

In the Premier League, LEICESTER CITY won 4-1 at home against WEST HAM. Leicester are now on a total of 65 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. West Ham picked up goal number 31. TOTTENHAM are now on a total of 41 goals as they win 2-1 at home against Norwich. MANCHESTER UNITED are back in trouble as they lost 2-0 at home to Burnley. United have picked up their eighth blank of the season and now two games without a goal.

In the Championship, FULHAM after a goal run of seven games, picked up their seventh blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 away to Charlton. NOTTINGHAM FOREST drew 1-1 at home to Reading and that is their 43rd goal of the season.

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC won 3-1 away to Kilmarnock and they are now on a total of 73 goals and they have now scored in all of their last sixteen games. RANGERS in second place and still two points behind their rivals Celtic won 1-0 at home to St Mirren. Rangers are now on 63 goals. After their big win at the weekend, HEARTS picked up their thirteenth blank of the season as they drew 0-0 away to Ross County. Hearts remain bottom of the table.

City Struggling?

In the Premier League, second place MANCHESTER CITY won 1-0 away to SHEFFIELD UNITED. City seem to have struggled with their last two games but the single goal now gives them a total of 81 goals. United picked up their eighth blank of the season. ASTON VILLA won 2-1 at home to Watford and they have taken their goals total to 48. It’s 30 goals for NEWCASTLE as they drew 2-2 away to EVERTON who are now on 38 goals. CHELSEA drew 2-2 at home against ten men ARSENAL. Chelsea are now on a total of 51 goals to Arsenal’s 43.

In the Championship, PRESTON are now on a total of 50 goals as they won 3-0 away to BARNSLEY. Barnsley have picked up blank number ten and have failed to score in their last two games. MIDDLESBROUGH drew 1-1 at home to BIRMINGHAM after going a goal down by half time. Brough are now on 33 goals and Birmingham are on 37.

In League One, PETERBOROUGH after a two game dry spell for goals, are now on 56 goals as they win 4-0 at home to Wycombe.

In League Two, BRADFORD CITY drew 0-0 away to Colchester and that is their seventh blank of the season. LEYTON ORIENT drew 1-1 at home to Northampton. Orient are now on a total of 35 goals.

Week Twenty-Five


In Week Twenty-Five of the competition we have had our twenty-seventh winner of the season as they picked up the full Jackpot Cash Prize Money of £6, and it all went to JOHN NICHOLLS who won on a score of just 8 goals.
John has been with Golden Goals since the 2005/06 Season and I thank him very much for his loyal support over the years. In that season, John finished in 49th place on a total of 240 goals. He picked up two weekend wins that season picking up £10 in cash. John’s worst season came in 2014/15 where he finished rock bottom with 194 goals and was there for a total of sixteen weeks. The good news with that is that John has the fifth best losers score over our history. Last season John finished in 129th place with 213 goals. This season, he has only been as high as 90th place in our very first week. John has picked up three blank score sheets and his best team to date is Leicester City. Here is his combination

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Just under half of us managed to pick up some more goals this week. It was SCOTT THOMSON (1) who picked up the highest midweek score with five goals. They all came from Lincoln City. His other teams are Celtic and Manchester City. There are now a total of fifty-five players that now are on a total of 50 or more midweek goals this week.
PATRICK O’DONAGHUE has remained in the lead now with a total of 71 goals. Patrick picked up a single goal from Fulham. His other teams are Liverpool and Manchester City. Remaining in second place we still have COLIN WEBB (2) now with a total of 67 goals. In third place we still have ANDY EYLES but he is now joined with PHIL REEVE moving up from five. Both have a total of 64 goals. In fourth place with a total of 62 goals we still have TONY GUY (4) but he is now joined with AVA & AUBREY CLARK up from fifth place and coming back in JAMIE WOOD.  In fifth place all with a total of 61 goals we have still have TONY GUY (1) and DANNY HARRINGTON.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had six of our teams without a game and another fourteen that failed to score any goals. So it’s is no surprise that this weekends average score fell down from seven goals of last weekend to 4 goals this weekend. The good news is that all but five players picked up some goals.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from two of our teams. From the English Championship, BLACKBURN ROVERS won 5-0 away to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. With their biggest result of the season, Blackburn are now on a total of 45 goals. Wednesday picked up their sixth blank of the season. Our other team came from the Scottish WILLIAM HILL CUP Fourth Round, where HEARTS won 5-0 at home to Airdrie. Hearts are now on a total of 33 goals.

PREMIER LEAGUE
Champions LIVERPOOL have now won twenty-one of their twenty-two league games as they win 2-0 at home against MANCHESTER UNITED. Liverpool are now on a total of 60 goals while Manchester United remain in fifth place with their seventh blank of the season. MANCHESTER CITY are still in second place despite them drawing with Crystal Palace 2-2 at home. City have now reached the 80 goal mark and are now sixteen points behind Liverpool. LEICESTER CITY stay third as they lost 2-1 away to Burnley after going a goal up in the first half. Leicester are now on a total of 61 goals. CHELSEA are still in fourth place after they lost 1-0 away to NEWCASTLE. As Chelsea picked up their fifth blank of the season, Newcastle picked up goal number 28. ASTON VILLA are third from bottom as they drew 1-1 away to Brighton to pick up their 46th goal of the season. ARSENAL as they drew 1-1 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED to take their goals total to 41. United are now on 29 goals. TOTTENHAM drew 0-0 away to Watford to pick up their seventh blank of the season. WOLVES won 3-2 away to Southampton and they have taken their goals tally up to 36. WEST HAM drew 1-1 at home to EVERTON with both goal coming from the first half. West Ham are now on 30 goals while Everton are on 36.

We have three of the four teams in the Play-off zone this week and they are Fulham moving up to third place after their win on Friday night. BRENTFORD move down to four after they drew 0-0 away to HUDDERSFIELD. Brentford picked up their tenth blank score sheet as Huddersfield picked up their eighth. NOTTINGHAM FOREST are still in fifth place after they beat LUTON 3-1 at home. Forest are now on a total of 42 goals while Luton picked up their 40th goal and bottom of the league.
Meanwhile BIRMINGHAM drew 1-1 at home to CARDIFF and they are now on 36 goals to Cardiff’s 45. BARNSLEY picked up their ninth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Bristol City. PRESTON won 2-1 at home to Charlton and they are now on 47 goals.

ROTHERHAM are still top here after they won again 3-0 at home to Bristol Rovers. Rotherham have now scored in all of their last eight games and have a total of 61 goals.
In the Play-off zone we have just two teams out of the four. IPSWICH are in third place after they won 2-1 away to Tranmere. Ipswich are now on 44 goals. SUNDERLAND are still in sixth place after they won 1-0 away to MK DONS. Sunderland are now on a total of 45 goals while the Dons picked up their thirteenth blank score sheet and now two in a row.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
We had the Fourth Round of the WILLIAM HILL CUP this weekend where we had five of our teams in action. We already know that Rangers and Hearts are through to the next round and so are CELTIC who beat Partick 2-1 away and they are now on 70 goals. FALKIRK drew 0-0 away to Arbroath to pick up their seventh blank score sheet and a replay. RAITH ROVERS are out as they lost 3-1 away to Livingston and that is their 45th goal.

In League Two, COVE RANGERS are still top and now five points clear as they win 3-1 at home to Cowdenbeath. Rangers are now on a total of 61 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eleven games. STENHOUSEMUIR won 3-2 away to Elgin City and they are now on a total of 29 goals.

William Hill Cup Fourth Round

In the WILLIAM HILL CUP Fourth Round, RANGERS are our first team to go through in this round as they beat Stranraer 2-0 at home. With a goal in each half, Rangers are now on a total of 62 goals.

In the English Championship, FULHAM won 1-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH and that is their 44th goal of the season and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Brough picked up their ninth blank score sheet after a goal run of ten games.

More FA CUP Third Round Replays

In the very last of the FA CUP Third Replay’s, we have another team through to the next round. CARDIFF will be there after they finally won 4-3 away to Carlisle. Cardiff have taken their goal tally to 44 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED won 1-0 at home to WOLVES to pick up goal number 44 while Wolves picked up their fourth blank of the season and now just two goals in their last five games played. We now have a total of twenty of our Golden Goals teams left in the fourth round, to be played between the 24th – 26th January.

FA CUP 3rd Round Replays and More

In the FA CUP Third Round Replays, we have had another two of our teams through to the next round. They are NEWCASTLE who won 4-1 at home to Rochdale. Newcastle have not had a big result in a long time but they are now up to a total of 27 goals. TOTTENHAM are also through as they win 2-1 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. Tottenham are now on a total of 39 goals to Middlesbrough’s 32 and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. BLACKPOOL are out after they lost 2-0 at home to Reading and that is their seventh blank of the season.

In League One, LINCOLN CITY picked up the highest result of the night as they win 5-1 at home to Bolton. City have now taken their goals tally up to 39 goals. MK DONS lost 1-0 away to Burton and that is their twelfth blank of the season after a goal run of eight games. IPSWICH picked up their seventh blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Oxford UTD.

In League Two, OLDHAM drew 0-0 away to Stevenage and that is their twelfth blank of the season.

Week Twenty-Four

In Week Twenty-Four of the competition we have had our twenty-sixth winner of the season and the full Jackpot cash of £6 went to MATT GRIFFITHS who won on a score of 12 goals.
Matt is in his very first season with Golden Goals and we thank him for joining in the competition. The highest that Matt has been so far is 27th place in Week Eight and he has picked up a total of three blank score sheets to date. Like so many of us, Manchester City’s is Matt’s best team. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Most of us picked up some more goals this week and the race for the cash has changed this week. It was MARK GREGORY who picked up the highest midweek score with five goals. They came from Manchester City three and Doncaster two. Mark’s third team is Celtic. There are now a total of forty-nine players that now are on a total of 50 or more midweek goals this week.
PATRICK O’DONAGHUE has remained in the lead now with a total of 70 goals. Patrick picked up a total of three goals from Manchester City. His other teams are Fulham and Liverpool. Remaining in second place we still have COLIN WEBB (2) with a total of 66 goals. In third place moving down from two is ANDY EYLES now on a total of 63 goals. In fourth place with a total of 62 goals is TONY GUY (4). In fifth place all with a total of 61 goals we have PHIL REEVE down from third place AVA & AUBREY CLARK  down from fourth place with TONY GUY (1) and DANNY HARRINGTON moving back up. 

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had seven of our teams without a game and another six that failed to score any goals. So it’s is no surprise that this weekends average score moved up from five goals of last weekend to 7 goals this weekend. The good news is that once again, all but two players picked up some goals.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from the Premier League where MANCHESTER CITY won 6-1 away to ASTON VILLA. With the three goals in midweek. City have now taken their goals tally up to 78 goals. Villa hit goal number 45.
City have now scored in all of their last eighteen games with fifteen goals being scored in their last four games. So it’s looks certain that City will pick up another 100 goals this season. At this stage last season they were on a total of 78 goals and they had scored in all of their last eight games.

PREMIER LEAGUE
Champions LIVERPOOL have now won twenty of their twenty-one league games as they win 1-0 away to TOTTENHAM. Liverpool are now on a total of 58 goals while Tottenham in 8th place in the league, picked up their sixth blank of the season and now just one goal in their last three games. Manchester City are now in second place with LEICESTER CITY go down to third as they lost 2-1 at home to Southampton. Leicester are now on a total of 60 goals. CHELSEA are in fourth place after they won 3-0 at home against Burnley and they are now on 49 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED come next as they win 4-0 at home to bottom of the table Norwich. United are now on a total of 43 goals. It’s 40 goals for ARSENAL as they drew 1-1 away to Crystal Palace. WOLVES drew 1-1 with NEWCASTLE to pick up goal number 33 to Newcastle’s 23. EVERTON won 1-0 at home to Brighton and they are now on a total of 35 goals.

CHAMPIONSHIP
WEST BROM are back on top after they drew 2-2 away to Charlton to take their goals tally up to 52. LEEDS UNITED are back down to second place after they lost 2-0 at home to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY now in 6th place in the league. Leeds picked up their fifth blank of the season and now two games in a row without a goal.
We have all four teams in the Play-off zone and they are BRENTFORD in third place as they win 3-1 at home to QUEENS PARK RANGERS and that now gives them a total of 46 goals to Rangers 53. FULHAM are in fourth place as they win 1-0 away to Hull and that is goal number 43 for them. Fifth is NOTTINGHAM FOREST as they drew 1-1 away to reading. Forest are now on 39 goals. BARNSLEY won 2-1 at home to HUDDERSFIELD and they are now on 38 goals to Huddersfield’s 31. It’s 40 goals for BLACKBURN ROVERS as they drew 1-1 at home to PRESTON who are now on 45 goals. BIRMINGHAM won 2-1 away to LUTON and they have taken their goals total to 35 while Luton hit goal number 39. MIDDLESBROUGH drew
2-2 at home to DERBY and they are now on 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last nine games. Derby are on 30 goals. STOKE picked up their eleventh blank score sheet and now two in a row after they drew 0-0 at home to Millwall.

LEAGUE ONE
ROTHERHAM are top here now after they won 3-1 away to Oxford Utd. Rotherham have now scored in all of their last seven games and have a total of 58 goals.
In the Play-off zone we have just two teams out of the four. IPSWICH are in third place after they won 4-1 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Ipswich are now on 42 goals while Accrington hit goal number 36 and have now scored in all of their last eight games. SUNDERLAND have moved up to sixth place after they won 4-0 at home to Wycombe. Sunderland are now on a total of 44 goals. DONCASTER are now on 39 goals as they win 2-0 away to Bristol Rovers. Doncaster have now scored in all of their last eight games. MK DONS drew 1-1 away to Coventry and they are now on 33 goals and they have also now scored in all of their last eight games.PETERBOROUGH picked up their eighth blank score sheet after they drew 0-0 at home to Gillingham. Borough have now scored just three goals in their last six games. PORTSMOUTH won 2-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon and they are now on 47 goals and have scored in all of their last sixteen games. LINCOLN CITY drew 1-1 away to Shrewsbury and that is goal number 34 for them. SOUTHEND drew 0-0 at home to Tranmere and that is their ninth blank of the season after a goal run of six games.

LEAGUE TWO
We have three teams here in the Play-Off zone and they are PLYMOUTH moved up to fifth place after they won 3-0 away to Carlisle. Plymouth are now on 46 goals. BRADFORD CITY are down to sixth place after they lost 2-1 away to Crawley. Bradford are now on 34 goals. FOREST GREEN ROVERS are up to seventh place as they win 4-3 away to MANSFIELD. Rovers are now on a total of 38 goals while Mansfield are now on 39. LEYTON ORIENT drew 1-1 at home to Grimsby and that is goal number 34 for them while OLDHAM after a two game dry spell for goals, drew 1-1 away to Macclesfield and they are now on 30 goals. SALFORD CITY lost 2-1 at home to Northampton and they are now on 35 goals. SCUNTHORPE are on 36 goals as they lost 2-1 at home to Newport. 

SCOTTISH RESULTS
As the Premiership start their winter break, we are left with just five of our Scottish teams in action this weekend.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are still on top after they drew 1-1 away to Forfar. Rovers are now on a total of 44 goals. FALKIRK have moved up to second place after they won 3-1 away to PETERHEAD. Falkirk are now on a total of 48 goals while Peterhead picked up goal number 28 and have extended their goal run to seven games.
In League Two, Cove Rangers are still top after their game was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. STENHOUSEMUIR drew 2-2 at home to Brechin and they are now on a total of 26 goals.

Our worst team this week is FOREST GREEN ROVERS. They have picked up a total of thirteen blank score sheets in thirty-two games played. Rovers have scored eight goals in their last nine games. They have a total of 38 goals and two votes.

Our highest goal scorers in our 37th Season is LEICESTER CITY from Week Thirteen as the beat Southampton 9-0 away in the league.  

It’s all change at the top again this week as BARBARA BARNES (1) becomes the fourth player to reach the top. Barbara picked up a total of eleven goals over the week with seven of them coming from the weekend. Barbara has Celtic, Leicester City and Manchester City. Guy Dowsett has moved back down to second place this weekend and only on goal difference as he picks up nine goals from Manchester City this week. His other teams are Celtic, Cove Rangers who both did not play this weekend.
