Week Four

Here we are with Week Four of the competition and this weekend we had our fourth winner of the season. Our winner was ALBERT SPENCER who won on a score of just 9 goals. Albert has won himself the full £5 this weekend. Albert is just one of the ten new players with Golden Goals this Season. This is his personal best weekend score and this is the highest position that he has been to date. Albert's best team is Leeds United scoring 9 of his total of 23 goals. His teams for this season are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Here is how the race for our 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot worth a total of £25 this season is now looking. The prize money will go to the first person to reach 100 goals from their three teams. We have had a couple of more players that have started their race for the cash this week but the leaders remain near the same.

In the lead we still have our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS now with 27 goals. In second place we now have last weeks leader CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) still with a total of 25 goals. Still in third place with 14 goals we still have MIKE LIDDLE. In fourth place we still have  DAVID BARRETT and GUY DOWSETT (2) both with 10 goals. In fifth place all with 9 goals we now have CHRIS BOLBERY, BAILEY MORAN, ABBEY NEWMAN and SAMUEL STEPHENS this week. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had just two of our teams with no game over the weekend with another eight of our teams that failed to score any goals. So that means that our weekend the average score was just 5 goals up from four last weekend. So if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was 5 goals and we had a total of four teams that picked that score up. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

For the first time this season, MANCHESTER CITY are now in top place after they won 2-1 away to Sheffield Utd. City are on a total of 6 goals and have won all three opening league games. WEST HAM have moved up to second place after they won 3-1 away to BRIGHTON. West Ham are now on a total of 7 goals while Brighton are now on 9 goals. TOTTENHAM are in third place after they won 2-0 away to BOURNEMOUTH. Tottenham are on a total of 6 goals while Bournemouth picked up their first blank of the season. ARSENAL drew 2-2 at home to FULHAM and are on a total of 5 goals while Fulham are on 3. CRYSTAL PALCE drew 1-1 away to Brentford and picked up their second goal of the season. MANCHESTER UNITED won 3-2 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST and are now on a total of 4 goals. Forest are on 5 goals. ASTON VILLA won 3-1 away to Burnley and are now on a total of 8 goals. Ten men LIVERPOOL won 2-1 away to NEWCASTLE after going a goal down. Both teams are on a total of 6 goals each. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

LEICESTER CITY are top here this weekend after they won 2-1 away to Rotherham. Leicester are on a total of 9 goals and have now scored in all of their five league/cup games played. NORWICH are now in second place after they won 4-0 away to Huddersfield. Norwich have taken their goals tally to 14 and they have also scored in all of their five league/cup games played. PLYMOUTH lost 2-1 away to Birmingham and are on a total of 7 goals while SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY lost 2-1 away to Cardiff and are on a total of 5 goals. SUNDERLAND picked up their first blank of the season after they drew 0-0 away to Coventry. LEEDS UNITED picked up their biggest result of the season by winning 4-3 away to IPSWICH. Leeds are now on a total of 9 goals while Ipswich are on 10 goals and a goal run of five games. STOKE lost 1-0 away to Millwall and that is their second blank of the season. SWANSEA lost 2-1 away to Preston and are on a total of 8 goals and a goal run of five league/cup games. SOUTHAMPTON won 2-1 at home to QPR and are on a total of 11 goals and a goal run of five league/cup games. MIDDLESBROUGH lost 4-2 away to West Brom and are on a total of 6 goals. 

LEAGUE ONE

BRISTOL ROVERS lost 2-1 at home to Wycombe and are on a total of 5 goals. READING lost 2-1 away to Exeter and picked up goal number 8. BLACKPOOL lost 3-0 away to Lincoln City and that is their fourth blank score sheet and they have now failed to score in their last four games. CHARLTON lost 2-1 away to Oxford Utd and they are on a total of 6 goals. DERBY won 4-2 away to PETERBOROUGH. With their biggest result of the season, Derby are now on a total of 9 goals while Borough are on a total of 8 goals. BARNSLEY won 2-0 away to Wigan and are on a total of 14 goals and a goal run of six league/cup games. 

LEAGUE TWO

The highest team that we have here are MK DONS now in top place. They won 2-1 at home against Doncaster. The dons are on a total of 12 goals. AFC WIMBLEDON drew 1-1 at home to Forest Green and they are on a total of 10 goals and a goal run of five league/cup games. It’s 10 goals for WREXHAM as they drew 1-1 away to Barrow. After they had failed to score in their last two games, SUTTON UNITED lost 3-1 away to Newport and are on a total of 10 goals. NOTTS COUNTY won 2-1 at home to Tranmere and are on a total of 11 goals. SALFORD CITY lost 2-1 at home to Accrington and they are on a total of 10 goals. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the Premiership after they were kicked out of the League Cup last weekend, CELTIC have lost their first league game as they drew 0-0 at home to St Johnston. Two blanks in two games, what has gone wrong with last season’s champions? RANGERS won 2-0 at home against ROSS COUNTY and are on a total of 8 goals. County after a goal run of 7 league/cup games, picked up their first blank score sheet. HIBERNIAN lost 3-2 at home to Livingston and are on a total of 7 goals. KILMARNOCK lost 2-1 away to Motherwell and are on a total of 12 goals. ABERDEEN drew 2-2 away to St Mirren and are on a total of 5 goals.

In League One the highest team with have here are FALKIRK in second place. They won 4-1 away to Alloa and have taken their goals tally to 20 goals and a goal run of five league/cup games. KELTY HEARTS lost 1-0 away to Stirling and picked up their second blank of the season. COVE RANGERS lost 1-0 at home to Queen of the South and they are now on a total of 16 goals.

In League Two, CLYDE lost 1-0 away to Stranraer and picked up their third blank of the season. STENHOUSEMUIR lost 4-2 at home to Dumbarton. Stenhousemuir are on a total of 7 goals. EAST FIFE picked up their fifth goal of the season after they drew 1-1 away to Elgin.

Our WORST three teams are 

AFC BOURNEMOUTH (2) CRYSTAL PALACE (2) BLACKPOOL (4)  Total of 8 goals 

Our Best performing team is BARNSLEY after they have now scored in all of their six league/cup games. They have a total of 14 goals which gives them an average score of 2 goals per game. 

Our worst performing team is EAST FIFE this weekend as they have picked up five blank score sheets in their 8 league/cup games.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 41st Season are BARNSLEY. They won 7-0 at home to Port Vale in the first league game of the season in Week One.

RICHARD WILLIAMS our 2015/16 Champion is at the top for his third weekend after he picked up a total of 9 goals from the week. Richards teams are Falkirk, Manchester City and Ross County.  He is now pulling away from the pack and now 7 goals clear of Charlie Farley (John Wood) in second place with Kilmarnock, Ross County and Stenhousemuir. At the other end at 110 we now have JACQUI RATTLE who picked up just 5 goals for the week. Jacqui has Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Manchester City.
