Week Nine

In Week Nine of the competition we had our twelfth winner of the season winning on a score of 13 goals. Our winner this weekend is STEPTOE & SON (Jamie Marson) who picks up the full £6 cash prize money.
Jamie has been with Golden Goals for quite a while now and last season, Janie finished in 68th place on a total of 289 goals. This season we see Jamie at their highest position after keeping on the second page for the first eight weeks. Jamie's best team is Manchester City netting 30 of their total of 73 goals. Jamie’s combination has done very well over the last couple of weeks picking up fourteen goals last week and another twenty-one goals this week. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
The race for the cash has changed this week as all but two of our players picked up some more goals. The player to pick up the most was JACQUI WILLIAMS with sixteen goals. They came from Arsenal 5, Chelsea 7 and Leicester City 4.  
In the lead this week with a total of 22 goals we have RYAN WILLIAMS moving up from two last week, COLIN WEBB (2) up from four and straight in MATT DORAN. In second place all on 21 goals we still have RICHARD WILLIAMS but we now have SCOTT THOMSON (2) down from one and TOBY BRICKNELL up from five. Moving straight in is STEVE STUBBS. In third place all on 20 goals we still have EMMA SAWYER but she is now joined with ALICE STUBBS and ANDY EYLES. In fourth place all on 19 goals we still have PETER PORTER but he is now joined with SIMON DICKINSON, TONY GUY (3) and ADAM SANSOM. In fifth place all on 18 goals we have a total of seven players. This is going to be one hell of a midweek race this season.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had another crazy weekend for goals. We had seven of our teams without a game and another eleven teams that failed to score any goals. But despite that, our average score for this weekend fell from eleven goals from last weekend to just 6 goals this weekend.
The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and we had two of our teams that picked them up. One came from the Premier League where LEICESTER CITY won 5-0 at home to NEWCASTLE to pick up their biggest result of the season and nine goals in their last two games. City are now on a total of 18 goals. Newcastle picked up their third blank and now two in a row. The other team to hit five was RANGERS from the Scottish Premiership after they won 5-0 at home to Aberdeen. Rangers are now on a total of 25 goals.

PREMIERSHIP
Are we already looking at this season’s champions as LIVERPOOL remain top here after they won their seventh league game as they won 1-0 away to SHEFFIELD UNITED. Liverpool have scored in all of their eight league/cup games and they are now on a total of 20 goals. Sheffield United picked up their third blank score sheet and now two in a row. Five points behind them is still MANCHESTER CITY in second place. They won 3-1 away to EVERTON and they are now on a total of 30 goals and a goal run of eight games. Everton picked up their 12th goal of the season.  Leicester City are still in third place.WEST HAM have moved up to fourth place after they drew 2-2 away to Bournemouth. West Ham are now on a total of 12 goals. TOTTENHAM are in fifth place after they won 2-1 at home to Southampton. They are now on 14 goals. It’s 10 goals fro WOLVES as they win 2-0 at home to Watford. ASTON VILLA drew 2-2 at home to Burnley and they are now on a total of 17 goals. CHELSEA won 2-0 at home to Brighton and they are now on a total of 21 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games.

CHAMPIONSHIP
WEST BROM are top here this week after they won 2-0 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS. West Brom are now on a total of 18 goals and they have now scored in all of their ten games. Rangers picked up their third blank of the season. Nottingham Forest are in third place while LEEDS UNITED have dropped down to fourth place after they lost 1-0 away to Charlton. That is Leeds second blank score sheet. PRESTON are down to fifth place after they drew 3-3 at home to Bristol City. LUTON won 2-1 away to BLACKBURN and they are now on a total of 20 goals after a two game dry spell. Rovers are now on 14 goals and have scored in all of their last five games. DERBY picked up their highest result of the season by winning 3-2 at home to BIRMINGHAM. Derby are now on 12 goals to Birmingjam’s 9. HUDDERSFIELD are second from bottom as they drew 1-1 at home to Millwall. Huddersfield picked up goal number 8. CARDIFF are now on 11 goals as they drew 2-2 away to Hull. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY picked up their biggest result to date after they won 4-1 away to MIDDLESBROUGH. Wednesday are now on 16 goals while Brough picked up goal number 11.

LEAGUE ONE
IPSWICH are still top after they won 4-1 at home to Tranmere. Ipswich are now on a total of 21 goals. SUNDERLAND are still in fifth place after they won 2-1 at home to MK DONS. Sunderland are now on 23 goals while the Dons are on 18 after a three game dry spell for goals. ROTHERHAM picked up their fourth blank and now two in a row after they lost 1-0 away to Brsitol Rovers. DONCASTER drew 1-1 away to Coventry and that is goal number 12 for them. PETERBOROUGH are now on 23 goals after they won 3-2 at home against AFC Wimbledon. After a two game dry spell, PORTSMOUTH won 1-0 at home to Bolton and that is goal number 15 for them. SOUTHEND picked up their fifth blank after they lost 1-0 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY who are now on 13 goals.

LEAGUE TWO
FOREST GREEN are still our highest team here now in fourth place after they drew won 4-0 away to SALFORD CITY. After a two game dry spell, Forest Green with their highest result of the season, are now on 11 goals while Salford picked up their fourth blank of the season. OLDHAM lost 1-0 away to Carlisle to pick up their fifth blank of the season. LEYTON ORIENT drew 3-3 at home to Port Vale and they are now on a total of 15 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eight games. PLYMOUTH won 1-0 away to MANSFIELD and they are now on 19 goals while Mansfield picked up their fifth blank score sheet. SCUNTHORPE drew 1-1 at home to BRADFORD and they are on 11 goals to Bradford’s 15.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC came from behind once again this week to draw 1-1 away to Hibernian to remain top. Celtic still have that 100% scoring record after nine games. all of their six league games. Celtic are now on a total of 29 goals. Rangers are still in second place and now just one point behind their rivals. HEARTS drew 0-0 away to St Mirren and that is their second blank of the season after a goal run of six games.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are still top after they won 2-1 away to Forfar. Rovers have now scored in all of their last eight games and they are now on 24 goals. FALKIRK are still in third place after they drew 0-0 at home to East Fife. Falkirk picked up their fourth blank of the season. PETERHEAD lost 4-3 away to Montrose but they are now on a total of 13 goals.
In League Two, COVE RANGERS have remained top after they win again 3-0 at home against Annan. Rangers are now on a total of 32 goals and they have now extended their goals run to ten games. STENHOUSEMUIR drew 1-1 away to Stirling and they are now on 12 goals.

Our Best team is COVE RANGERS after scoring in all of their last ten of their League/Cup games with a total of 32 goals.

Our worst team is BARNSLEY this weekend as they have picked up just one goal in their last four games played. They have scored just five goals in their ten games played this season.

Our highest goal scorers in our 37th Season are MANCHESTER CITY who won 8-0 against Watford in a league game in Week Eight.  

 GUY DOWSETT is now in his ninth consecutive weekend at the top. Guy picked up eight goals in midweek and another seven goals from the weekend. They came from Cove Rangers and Manchester City, three goals each while Celtic picked up one. Guy’s lead is still nine goals this week in front of Mike Liddle still in second place. Mick has Celtic, Manchester City and Peterborough and he picked up a total of fifteen goals for the week.
At the other end at 123 we have The SAINT with their third consecutive weekend there. The Saint has Barnsley, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday and picked up just five goals this week all from the weekend.

Ten More Goals for Golden Goals Fans

We had another good nights worth of football last night as all of our teams scored goals. In the English Championship, FULHAM won 2-0 at home to Wigan and that now brings their goal tally up to 14. STOKE lost 3-2 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. Stoke are now on a total of 13 goals while Forest are now on 18 goals.
In League One, BLACKPOOL won 2-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY. Blackpool have taken their goals total to 18 goals while Lincoln are also now on 18 goals.

Carabao/League Cup (Part Two)

The second part of the Carabao/League Cup third round games have now been played and out of the nine teams that are with Golden Goals, only six have made it through to the next round. That gives us only ten of our teams are through to the fourth round.
The biggest score of the night and of the round, CHELSEA beat Grimsby Town 7-0 at home. With their biggest result of the season, Chelsea are now on a total of 19 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. ASTON VILLA will be joining them as they win 3-1 away to Brighton. Villa have taken their goals total up to 15 goals. LIVERPOOL won 2-0 away to MK DONS and they are now on a total of 19 goals and a goal run of seven games, while the Dons picked up their fourth blank score sheet and now three in a row. SUNDERLAND won 1-0 away to SHEFFIELD UNITED to give them a total of 21 goals while United picked up their second blank of the season. MANCHESTER UNITED have scrapped through as they drew 1-1 at home to Rochdale after 90 minutes and then won 5-3 on penalties. That was United’s 9th goal of the season. WOLVES are through as they drew 1-1 after full time against Reading and then won 4-2 on penalties. Wolves have picked up goal number 8 and have now scored in all of their last six games. The biggest disappointment of the night was that WEST HAM go out after they lost 4-0 away to Oxford United. That was West Ham’s third blank of the season.
The next round will be played on Tuesday 29th October.

In the Scottish Betfred Cup Quarter-finals, we had just three 
of our teams in action and the good news is that all three are through to the next round. The biggest result was that CELTIC won 5-0 at home to Partick and they are now on a total of 28 goals and have now scored in all of their eight games. RANGERS are also through as they win just 1-0 away to Livingston. That was Rangers 20th goal of the season. HEARTS drew 2-2 at home to Aberdeen after the full 90 minutes and then won 3-0 on penalties. Hearts are now on 19 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games.

Carabao/League Cup Third Round (Part One)

The first part of the third round of the Carabao/League Cup has now been played and we had eleven of our teams playing. Out of them only four have made it through to the next round and they are, LEICESTER CITY as they score their biggest result of the season by winning 4-0 away to LUTON TOWN. Leicester are now on a total of 13 goals while Luton picked up their third blank and now two in a row. MANCHESTER CITY won 3-0 away to PRESTON and they are now on a total of 27 goals and they have now scored in all of their seven games. Preston picked up their second blank score sheet after a goal run of nine games. ARSENAL picked up their biggest score to date as they win 5-0 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. Arsenal are now on a total of 16 goals and have extended their goal run to seven games. Forest after a goal run of ten games picked up their first blank of the season. EVERTON won 2-0 away to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY and they are now on 11 goals while Wednesday picked up their second blank of the season.

The shock of the night must be Colchester United knocking out TOTTENHAM. The game ended in a 0-0 draw before Colchester won 4-3 on penalties. That was Tottenham’s second blank of the season. STOKE drew 1-1 away to Crawley but then lost 5-3 on penalties. That was Stokes 11th goal of the season. PORTSMOUTH are out after they lost 4-0 at home to Southampton and that is their third blank of the season and now two in a row.

Week Eight


In Week Eight of the competition we had our eleventh winner of the season with a score of 16 goals. Our winner this weekend is GRAHAM WARMAN who picks up the full £6 cash prize money.
Graham is in his sixth season with Golden Goals. As he started with us in the 2014/15 Season on where he finished in 85th place on a total of 235 goals. In the following season he finished in the winning frame in 24th place on 268 goals. With two weekend wins, Graham won over £13. Last season he finished again in the winning frame in 22nd place with a total of 315 goals winning just over £7 in cash. This season we can see Graham at his highest to date. He has picked up just one blank score sheet and this weekends score is his personal best. His teams are

The race for the cash has changed this week as forty-nine for us picked up some more goals. The player to pick up the most was MICHAEL JACOBSON with four goals. They came from Peterborough and Portsmouth with two goals each, his other team is Man City.  
In the lead this week with 20 goals and moves up from second place is SCOTT THOMSON (2). In second place we now have the Williams family with RYAN WILLIAMS dropping down from one and  RICHARD WILLIAMS up from third place both with a total of 19 goals. In third place down from one last week is EMMA SAWYER with a total of 18 goals. In fourth place all on 16 goals we still have COLIN WEBB (2) and JOHN WOOD (Lucifer) but they are now joined with MICHAEL BILTON and PETER PORTER. In fifth place all on 14 goals we still have TONY KING but he is now with TOBY BRICKNELL, MICHAEL JACOBSON and JED WEARDEN.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had all of our teams in action and out of them seventeen failed to score any goals. But despite that, our average score for this weekend was 11 goals which is the highest so far this season. .
The Highest score over the weekend was eight goals and they came from the Premier League where MANCHESTER CITY won 8-0 at home against Watford to not only picked up their highest score of the season, but also our highest score of our 37th Season. City have now taken their goals tally up to 24 goals and they have now scored in all of their six league games.
Manchester City became our 15th voted team in our first season of 1983/84. In that season they finished on a total of 73 goals. This is their 26th season with Golden Goals and their highest score came in the 2013/14 Season with 137 goals and then again last season 2018/19. Over the seasons they have netted a total of 2114 goals which gives them an average score of 81 goals per season and that will go up as the season progresses.

PREMIERSHIP
LIVERPOOL are still top here after they won their sixth league game out of six played, as they win 2-1 away to CHELSEA. Liverpool have scored in all of their six league games and they are now on a total of 17 goals. Chelsea picked up their 12th of the season and they have scored in all of their last five games. Five points behind them is Manchester City in second place.  LEICESTER CITY have moved up to third place after they beat TOTTENHAM 2-1 at home. Leicester are now on 9 goals while Tottenham are on 12 and down to seventh place in the league. ARSENAL have moved up to fourth place after they picked up their biggest result of the season by winning  3-2 at home to ASTON VILLA after going a goal down. Arsenal have now scored in all of their six games and they are now on 11 goals. Villa after a two game dry spell are now on 12 goals. WEST HAM are now in fifth place after they won 2-0 at home against MANCHESTER UNITED. West Ham are now on 10 goals while United picked up their second blank of the season. WOLVES drew 1-1 away to Crystal Palace to pick up goal number 7. SHEFFIELD UNITED won their second league game by winning 2-0 away to EVERTON. United are now on 9 goals while Everton picked up their third blank score sheet of the season. NEWCASTLE picked up their second blank of the season after they drew 0-0 at home to Brighton.

CHAMPIONSHIP
LEEDS UNITED are still top this week after they drew 1-1 at home to DERBY. Leeds are now on a total of 18 goals while Derby picked up their 9th goal of the season. PRESTON come next now, moving up to third place after they won 1-0 away to BIRMINGHAM. Preston have now scored in all of their last nine games and they are now on a total of 20 goals. Birmingham picked up their fourth blank of the season. WEST BROM are now in fourth place after they won 4-2 at home to HUDDERSFIELD. After picking up their highest score of the season, West Brom have now scored in all of their nine games and are now on 16 goals while Huddersfield are now on 7 goals but remain bottom of the league. BRENTFORD drew 0-0 at home to STOKE and that is their fifth blank of the season and now two in a row. Brentford have scored just three goals in their last five games. Stoke picked up their second blank score sheet. CARDIFF won 1-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH and that is goal number 9 for them while Brough picked up their third blank of the season. LUTON picked up their second blank as they lost 3-0 at home to Hull. QUEENS PARK RANGERS won 2-1 away to Millwall and they are now on 17 goals. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 1-0 at home to BARNSLEY and they are now on 15 goals and they have scored in all of their ten games played. Barnsley picked up their sixth blank score sheet and now three in a row. BLACKBURN ROVERS won 2-1 away to Reading and they are now on a total of 13 goals. BRADFORD are in sixth place after they won 3-1 at home to Carlisle. Bradford are now on a total of 14 goals and they have now scored in all of their last five games. LEYTON ORIENT lost 2-1 away to Colchester but they are now on a total of 12 goals and a goal run of seven games. SALFORD CITY lost 4-1 away to Crewe but they are now on a total of 12 goals. With their biggest result of the season, OLDHAM won 3-1 at home to Morecambe. Oldham are now on 14 goals. PLYMOUTH picked up their third blank of the season after they lost 2-0 at home against Cheltenham. After a two game dry spell for goals and just two goals in their last five games, MANSFIELD are now on 14 goals as they drew 2-2 away to Port Vale. SCUNTHORPE picked up their sixth blank of the season as they lost 1-0 away to Walsall.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC came from behind to beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at home to remain top and win all of their six league games. Celtic have now scored all in of their seven games this season and they are now on a total of 23 goals.
RANGERS are still in second place and still three points behind their rivals as they win 4-0 away to bottom of the table St Johnstone. Rangers are now on 19 goals. HEARTS went a goal down to win 2-1 away to Hibernian. Hearts are now on 17 goals.

Most of Our Teams in Double Figures

We had another nineteen of our teams in action and out of them four failed to score any goals.

In League One, DONCASTER lost 1-0 at home to BLACKPOOL and that is their third blank score sheet and now two in a row. Blackpool have taken their total to 15 goals. MK DONS picked up their second blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 at home to IPSWICH who are now on 16 goals. PORTSMOUTH drew 2-2 at home to Burton Albion and they are now on 14 goals and a goal run of seven games now. LINCOLN CITY drew 1-1 away to Rochdale and that is their 17th goal of the season. SOUTHEND lost 4-3 away to Shrewsbury but they are now on a total of 13 goals. SUNDERLAND drew 1-1 at home to ROTHERHAM and they are on 19 goals while Rotherham hit goal number 16. It’s 20 for PETERBOROUGH as they drew 2-2 away to Tranmere. ACCRINGTON STANLEY drew 1-1 away to Wycombe and that is goal number 11 for them.

In the Premier League, WEST HAM missed the chance to move up to third place after they drew 0-0 away to ASTON VILLA. Both teams have picked up their second blank score sheet of the season, but Villa have now had two in a row.

Week Seven

In Week Seven of the competition we had our tenth winner of the season and the very first lady to do so as she wins on a score of 11 goals. Her name is ROSE COLLINS and she is in her second season with Golden Goals. Rose has also won the first Rollover of the season worth £12.
Last season Rose finished in 56th place on a total of 296 goals. Out of her combination from last season she has only kept Manchester City and has dropped Celtic and Rochdale. This season we can see Rose at her highest position to date and She has only had one blank score sheet. Peterborough is her best team netting 18 of her total of 49. Here are her winning teams.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
This week the race for the cash has remained the same for the third week running as there was just one game for us this week which has not effected our leaders.
In the lead we have two players with 18 goals each. They are EMMA SAWYER and RYAN WILLIAMS. In Second place we still have SCOTT THOMSON (2) on 17 goals. In third place with 16 goals we have RICHARD WILLIAMS. In fourth place we have COLIN WEBB (2) and JOHN WOOD (Lucifer) both on 15 goals.. In fifth place all on 14 goals we have MICHAEL BILTON, TONY KING and PETER PORTER.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend we had just five teams with out a game over the weekend and out of them fourteen failed to score any goals. So with the football back in play, our average score for this weekend was 6 goals.
The Highest score over the weekend was six goals and they came from two of our teams. Both are from the League One where PETERBOROUGH won 6-0 at home to Rochdale and ROTHERHAM won 6-1 at home to Bolton.
Peterborough with four votes scored their biggest result of the season, are now on a total of 18 goals and they have now scored in all of their last five games. Rotherham with just one vote have also picked up their biggest result so far and they are now on a total of 15 goals.

PREMIERSHIP
LIVERPOOL are still top here after they won 3-1 at home against NEWCASTLE. Liverpool have won and scored in all of their five league games and they are now on a total of 15 goals. Newcastle picked up another single goal and that is now five goals in their last five games. MANCHESTER CITY are in second place and now five points behind Liverpool after they lost their first league game 3-2 away to Norwich. But City have now scored in all of their five games and are now on a total of 16 goals. TOTTENHAM are now in third place after they picked up their biggest win of the season by beating Crystal Palace 4-0 at home. Tottenham are now on a total of 11 goals. In fourth place is MANCHESTER UNITED. They won 1-0 at home against LEICESTER CITY. United are now on 8 goals and they have also scored in all five league games. City picked up their second blank of the season. CHELSEA picked up their biggest win of the season by winning 5-2 away to WOLVES. Chelsea are now on 11 goals while Wolves are now on 6. ARSENAL drew 2-2 away to Watford after going two goals up. Arsenal are now on a total of 8 goals and they have scored in all five league games. EVERTON lost 3-1 away to Bournemouth and that is their 9th goal of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED after a goal run of five games, picked up their first blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 at home to Southampton.

CHAMPIONSHIP
LEEDS UNITED are top this week after they won 2-0 away to BARNSLEY. Leeds are now on a total of 17 goals while Barnsley picked up their fifth blank of the season and now two in a row. PRESTON come next in fifth place after they won 2-0 at home against BRENTFORD. Preston have now scored in all of their last eight games and they are now on a total of 19 goals. Brentford picked up their fourth blank score sheet. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 2-0 away to HUDDERSFIELD to take their goals tally up to 11 goals while Huddersfield picked up their third blank of the season. BLACKBURN ROVERS are now on 11 goals as they win 2-0 at home against Millwall. BIRMINGHAM won 1-0 away to Charlton and that is their 7th goal of the season. FULHAM drew 1-1 at home to WEST BROM. As Fulham pick up goal number 11, West Brom have now scored in all of their eight games and are now on 12 goals. MIDDLESBROUGH won 1-0 at home against Reading to pick up goal number 10. QUEENS PARK RANGERS won 3-2 at home to LUTON to take their goals tally up to 15 goals, while Luton are now on 18 goals. STOKE lost 2-1 at home against Bristol City and they are now on a total of 10 goals but are now bottom of the table. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 1-0 away to Swansea and they are now on 14 goals and they have now scored in all of their nine games played.

LEAGUE ONE
IPSWICH have dropped down to second place after they drew 0-0 at home to DONCASTER. After a goal run of seven games, Ipswich picked up their first blank of the season. Doncaster picked up their second. SUNDERLAND are in fifth place after they won 3-1 away to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Sunderland are now on 18 goals while Accrington are on 10.
MK DONS are now on 17 goals after they won 3-0 away to BLACKPOOL who picked up their second blank of the season. After a goal run of nine games, LINCOLN CITY picked up their first blank of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to Bristol Rovers. It’s 10 goals for SOUTHEND after they they drew 3-3 at home against Fleetwood.

LEAGUE TWO
FOREST GREEN have become our highest team here now in third place after they won 1-0 at home to Colchester. Another single goal takes their goals total to 7 goals. MANSFIELD lost 1-0 away to Crawley and that is now their third blank of the season. Mansfield have scored just two goals in their last four games. LEYTON ORIENT drew 2-2 away to Exeter and they are now on 10 goals and they have now scored in all of their last five games. OLDHAM drew 2-2 at home to Grimsby and they are now on 9 goals. After a goal run of five games, PLYMOUTH picked up their second blank of the season after they lost 1-0 away to Port vale. SALFORD CITY  lost 2-0 at home to Cheltenham and that is their third blank of the season. After a dry spell of three games, SCUNTHORPE picked up their biggest win of the season as they won 3-0 at home to Morecambe. Scunthorpe are now on 8 goals. BRADFORD are now on 9 goals as they win 1-0 away to Walsall.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC are still top after they won 1-0 away to Hamilton. Celtic have now scored all in of their six games this season and they are now on a total of 20 goals. RANGERS are still in second place and three points behind their rivals as they win 3-1 at home to Livingston. Rangers are now on 15 goals. HEARTS lost 3-2 at home against Motherwell and they are bottom of the table with 15 goals.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are in second place after they won 4-0 at home to PETERHEAD. Rovers have now scored in all of their last six games and they are now on 21 goals. Peterhead picked up their fourth blank of the season. FALKIRK have moved up to third place after they won 3-0 at home to Forfar. After a two game dry spell for goals, Falkirk are now on 17.
In League Two, COVE RANGERS have remained top after they win again 4-2 away to Brechin. Rangers are now on a total of 27 goals and they have now extended their goals run to eight games. STENHOUSEMUIR picked up their second blank of the season after a goal run of seven games as they lost 3-0 at home to Cowdenbeath.

Our worst team is BARNSLEY this weekend as they have picked up just one goal in their last four games played. They have scored just four goals in their eight games this season.

Our highest goal scorers in our 37th Season are CELTIC who won 7-0 against St Johnstone in their first league game in Week One.  

GUY DOWSETT is now in his seventh consecutive weekend at the top. All of his goals came from the weekend with four goals from Cove Rangers, two from Manchester City and a goal from Celtic. Guy is now just four goals in front of Tony Guy (3) in second place. Tony has Celtic, Raith Rovers and Sunderland and picked up a total of eight goals all from the weekend.
At the other end at 123 we now have The SAINT with their first weekend there. They also become our third player to land there. The Saint has Barnsley, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday and picked up just two goals this week..
