Pete Christopher became our very first
champion in 1983/84 finishing on a total of 327 goals. Peter held on to the
record for the most number of goals scored in a season for 18 years. Peter’s
record came to the end when the current holder Laurie King picked up the highest score in our 20th Season
(2001/02) with a record 355 goals and he still holds that record today.
Pete also holds the record
for the longest stay at the number one slot for the complete season with a
total of 40 weeks in our very first season of 1983/84.
