Week Eleven

Here we are with Week Eleven of the competition and we did not have any cash to pay out this week because of the International games and so a lack of teams playing this weekend. But we did have three players that picked up the highest amount of goals with four each. They were TONY GUY (5) from Fleetwood Town. His other teams are Arsenal and Rotherham. DARYL NICHOLLS from Tranmere he also has Celtic and Manchester City. JOHN WOOD (Ziggy) from Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir with two goals each,. His other team is Rangers.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

We had just four players that picked up some goals this week so there is not really any change in the race for the cash. PAUL MORAN (Mango) and BOB SAWYER remain in front with both on a total of 33 goals. In second place this week we still have JED WEARDEN, LOUIE HARRINGTON and CHRIS SETFORD. They are all on a total of 32 goals. In third place we still have LINDA ADKINS, A&A CLARK, RAYMOND HARROD and MICK LIDDLE. RYAN FC moves back into the race. All are on a total of 31 goals. In fourth place we still have HAYLEY ADKINS, BRADLEY CLARK, D HUGHES, RICKY MILES, STEVE REEVE and SANA-CARLA-LYANNA all of us are on a total of 30 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

This weekend it has been a very quite week for our teams due to the International games being played. We had just fifteen of our teams in action over the weekend with just one of them failing to score any goals. That was good news for the fifteen players who managed to pick up some goals from their combo’s. The Highest score over the weekend was four goals and they went to FLEETWOOD TOWN and TRANMERE ROVERS. FLEETWOOD from League One won 4-1away to Bristol Rovers and that has taken their goals tally up to 26 goals. Newly promoted TRANMERE won 4-3 away to Port Vale. With their highest result of the season to date, Tranmere are now on a total of 14 goals.

Fleetwood Town became our 107th voted English team and they started with us in the 2012/13 Season where they finished on a total of 60 goals. In the following season they finished on their highest score of 73 goals. The last time that Fleetwood played was in our 2017/18 Season where they finished on a total of 65 goals. This is Fleetwood’s fourth season with Golden Goals and over the four seasons they have netted a total of 224 goals. That now gives them a total of 56 goals per season. They have just one vote this season and they have picked up a total of four blank score sheets after a total of sixteen games.

Tranmere became our 48th voted English team and they first appeared in our 1985/86 Season where they finished on a total of 80 goals. Their highest number of goals in a season is 90 and that was in the 1993/94 Season. The last time that we saw Tranmere on our pages was back in the 2009/10 Season where they finished on a total of 53 goals. This is their 18th Season with us and they have netted a total of 1250 goals. That now gives them an average score of 69 goals per season. They also have just one vote and in their total of fourteen games, they have picked up a total of seven blank score sheets.

LEAGUE ONE

PETERBOROUGH are top here but they lost 2-0 away to CREWE. That was Borough’s fourth blank of the season after a goal run of nine games. Crewe are now on a total of 14 goals. ACCRINGTON STANLEY won 1-0 away to Northampton and that is goal number 12 for them. SWINDON drew 3-3 away to Shrewsbury and they are now on a total of 17 goals. SUNDERLAND lost 2-1 at home to MK Dons and they are now on 15 goals.

RANGERS (37) CELTIC (32) LINCOLN CITY (30) Total of 99 goals

DERBY (6) SCUNTHORPE (7) SOUTHEND (9) Total of 22 goals

Our Best team is MANCHESTER CITY after scoring in all of their nine league games keeping their 100% record with a total of 15 goals. They are on an average score of 1.6 goals per game.

Our worst team this weekend is still DERBY who have scored just three goals in their last seven games played.

SOUTHEND have picked up the most number of blank score sheets with eight out of fourteen games played.

Our highest goal scorers in our 38th Season are RANGERS their 8-0 win at home against Hamilton in the league in Week Ten.

JED WEARDEN has remained at the top again this weekend for his third week running. Jed like so many of us, had none of his teams inaction this week. Jed’s teams are Brentford, Liverpool and Rangers. He is still three goals in front of Louie Harrington in second place.

At the other end at 116 we still have Jacqui Rattle who has remained there for her fourth weekend. Jacqui also did not have any of her teams in action this week.  Her teams of  Arsenal, Manchester City and Wolves.

No change in the top ten this week but that might all change on next weeks table.
