Week Twelve

Here we are with Week Twelve of the competition and we had our second Rollover of the season worth £12 and it went to KEITH THOMSON who becomes our tenth winner of the season. He won on a score of 11 goals. Keith has been with Golden Goals for six seasons now as he started with us back in the 2014/15 Season. In his first season he finished in 27th place with a total of 270 goals and picked up over £21 with six weekend wins. Last season Keith finished in 112th place with a total of 215 goals. This season he has picked up three blank score sheets and his highest position is first place in Week Two. His best team is Rangers netting 41 of his total of 89 goals. His teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT 

We had just seven players that picked up some goals this week and they have changed the order in the race for the cash. So here is the top five this week. In the lead this week we have CHRIS SETFORD moving up from second place with RYAN FC up from three. Both have a total of 34 goals. In second place is last weeks leaders PAUL MORAN (Mango) and BOB SAWYER both still on a total of 33 goals. In third place down from two we have LOUIE HARRINGTON and JED WEARDEN both still on a total of 32 goals. In fourth place down from three we have LINDA ADKINS, A&A CLARK, RAYMOND HARROD and MICK LIDDLE and joining them this week we STEVE AYRES. All are on a total of 31 goals. In fifth place down from four we have HAYLEY ADKINS, BRADLEY CLARK, D HUGHES, RICKY MILES, STEVE REEVE and SANA-CARLA-LYANNA and joining the pack we have FIONA CARTHY all of us are on a total of 30 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS 

This weekend it has been a bit of a mixed match sort of weekend. But we had four of our teams not in action over the weekend with another fifteen of them failing to score any goals. The good news is that all but two players managed to pick up some goals from their combo’s. But despite us having some big scores this week, the average score was just four goals. The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and they went to FLEETWOOD TOWN and TRANMERE ROVERS once again. Both teams have now picked up their biggest result of the season beating last weekends results. In League One, Fleetwood Town won 5-1 at home to PLYMOUTH and they are now on a total of 31 goals. Fleetwood have now scored eleven goals in their last four games. Plymouth are on a total of 26 goals and they have scored in all of their last six games. In League Two, Tranmere Rovers won 5-0 at home to Grimsby and that has taken their goals tally up to 19 with twelve of them coming from their last four games. 

PREMIER LEAGUE 

TOTTENHAM are now top of the table on goals difference after they won 2-0 at home against MANCHESTER CITY. Tottenham are now on a total of 22 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. City after a goal run of nine games, picked up their first blank of the season. LIVERPOOL are in second place as they win 3-0 at home to LEICESTER CITY. Liverpool are on 28 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. Leicester picked up their fourth blank score sheet. CHELSEA are in third place as they win 2-0 away to Newcastle. Chelsea are now on a total of 29 goals. WEST HAM have now scored in all of their last eleven games as they win 1-0 away to Sheffield United. They are now on a total of 24 goals. EVERTON won 3-2 away to FULHAM and they are now on a total of 31 goals while Fulham are on 12 goals. BRIGHTON won 2-1 away to ASTON VILLA and they are on 19 goals while Villa picked up their 25th goal of the season. MANCHESTER UNITED won 1-0 at home to WEST BROM. United are now on 19 goals. West Brom picked up their sixth blank of the season and now three in a row. West Brom have scored just one goals in their last six games. LEEDS UNITED drew 0-0 at home to ARSENAL to pick up their second blank of the season while Arsenal picked up their fifth and now two in a row. Arsenal have netted just one goal in their last five games. 

CHAMPIONSHIP 

BOURNEMOUTH are our highest team here in second place after they won 4-2 at home to READING. With their biggest result of the season, Bournemouth are now on a total of 20 goals. Reading after a two game dry spell for goals are now on 22. BRISTOL CITY are in third place as they win 1-0 at home to DERBY who are now bottom of the league. City are now on a total of 22 goals. Derby picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now three games without a goal. NOTTINGHAM FOREST picked up their sixth blank score sheet as they lost 2-0 away to Barnsley. LUTON drew 1-1 at home to Blackburn and they are now on 14 goals. NORWICH are now on 15 goals as they win 1-0 away to MIDDLESBROUGH. Brough picked up their sixth blank score sheet and now three in a row. CARDIFF drew 1-1 away to Millwall and they are now on a total of 13 goals. PRESTON won 1-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday and they are now on 22 goals. WATFORD drew 1-1 away to QPR and that is goal number 17 for them. STOKE picked up their biggest result to date as they win 4-3 at home to Huddersfield. SWANSEA won 1-0 at home against ROTHERHAM and they are now on a total of 14 goals while Rotherham picked up their fifth blank of the season. BRENTFORD drew 0-0 away to Wycombe and that is their third blank of the season and now two in a row. 

LEAGUE ONE  

HULL are now top after they won 3-1 away to MK Dons. Hull are now on a total of 25 goals and they have now scored in all of their last fifteen games. PETERBOROUGH drop down to second place after they lost 2-1 at home to Blackpool. Peterborough are on a total of 24 goals. ACCRINGTON STANLEY drew 0-0 at home to LINCOLN CITY to pick up their second blank score sheet to Lincoln’s third. CHARLTON are on 18 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Gillingham. PORTSMOUTH won 4-1 at home to CREWE. Portsmouth have taken their goals tally to 31 while Crewe picked up goal number 17. SWINDON won 1-0 at home to Bristol Rovers and that is their 18th goal of the season. SUNDERLAND drew 1-1 away to Doncaster and they are on a total of 16 goals. OXFORD UNITED won 2-1 away to WIGAN and they are now on 16 goals to Wigan’s 13. 

LESGUE TWO 

CHELTENHAM are our highest team here moving up to second place after they won 3-0 at home to Walsall. Cheltenham are now on a total of 26 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. EXETER lost 2-1 at home to Oldham and they are on a total of 22 goals and they have extended their goal run to eight games. HARROGATE TOWN lost 3-0 away to Leyton Orient and that is their fifth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY won 3-0 at home against Bradford. Salford have taken their goals total up to 21 goals. SCUNTHORPE drew 1-1 at home to Morecambe to pick up their 11th goal of the season. BOLTON won 2-1 away to Stevenage and they are now on 16 goals. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES 

In the Premiership, RANGERS won 4-0 at home to third place ABERDEEN. Rangers have extended their goal run to eleven games and they are now on a total of 41 goals. Aberdeen picked up their fourth blank of the season. CELTIC are now eleven points behind Rangers after they drew 2-2 away to Hibernian. Celtic were two down at half time but they are now on a total of 34 goals. MOTHERWELL drew 1-1 away to St Johnstone and that is their 15th goal of the season and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. In League One, second place FALKIRK beat top of the table COVE RANGERS 1-0 at home to take their goals total to 18 and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Rangers picked up their second blank of the season. In League Two, STENHOUSEMIUR drop down to fourth place after they lost 2-1 at home to Annan. Stenhousemiur are on a total of 13 goals.

OUR WORST THREE TEAMS ARE 

DERBY (6) NOTTINGHAM FOREST (9) BIRMINGHAM (9) Total of 24 goals 

Our Best team is HEARTS after scoring in all of their eight league/cup games keeping their 100% record with a total of 18 goals. They are on an average score of 2.2 goals per game. 

Our worst team this weekend is still DERBY who have scored just three goals in their last eight games played. 

DERBY and SOUTHEND have both picked up the most number of blank score sheets with eight out of fourteen games played. Our highest goal scorers in our 38th Season are RANGERS their 8-0 win at home against Hamilton in the league in Week Ten.  

JED WEARDEN has remained at the top again this weekend for his fourth consecutive week. Jed picked up a total of seven goals all coming from the weekend. Jed’s teams are Brentford, Liverpool and Rangers. He is still three goals in front of Louie Harrington in second place. At the other end at 116 we still have Jacqui Rattle who has remained there for her fifth weekend running. Jacqui picked up her fourth blank of the season. Two of her teams failed to score and the third had no game this week. Jacqui teams of  Arsenal, Manchester City and Wolves. 

It's all change at the top except for the top two this week.
