Week Twenty-Four

In Week Twenty-Four of the competition we had our twenty-fifth winner of the season winning on a score of 11 goals once again. It was AVA and AUBREY CLARK who picked up this weekends cash prize money of £6. The girls joined us in the 2018/19 Season where they finished in 98th place with a total of 265 goals. They had one weekend shared win. Last season they finished in the winning frame in 14th place with a total of 306 goals and picked up £14 in cash. This season they have been as high as 43rd place which was in Week One. They have picked up just three blank score sheets at the weekends and their best team is Manchester City. Their winning teams are

CELTIC 2, MANCHESTER CITY 3, WATFORD 6

100 MIDWEEK GOALS

All but three of us picked up some goals this week once again and it has changed the order in the race for the cash again. We had another five players that have scored 50 or more midweek goals, taking our total up to 110 players that are on or over the halfway stage to the cash. We had two players that picked up the highest midweek score with 11 goals each. They were BARBARA BARNES (1) and JAMIE WOOD. Barbara’s goals came from Celtic 4, Manchester City 3, and Tottenham 4 while Jamie’s came from Celtic 4, Manchester City 3 and Salford City 4.

So here are the top five places this week. In first place with 86 goals each we have last weeks leader MARK GREGORY and joining him this week up from two is RAYMOND HARROD. In second place moving up from three last weekend we have CHRIS SETFORD with a total of 84 goals. In third place moving up from five with a total of 81 goals we have MICHAEL JACOBSON. In fourth place with 79 goals we still have CHRIS DICKER and moving back into the race this week we have CHRIS BOLBERY. In fifth place with 77 goals we have BOB SAWYER  and DEAN ZANIOUS back in the race. There are a total of eleven players in sixth place with 76 goals each.

The good news is that only two players failed to pick up any goals at the weekend. After getting yet another fantastic set of midweek results, it was not so great at the weekend. The weekends average score fell from six of last weekend down to 5 goals this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was six goals and they came from the Championship where WATFORD won 6-0 at home against BRISTOL CITY.
