Week Twenty-Two

In Week Twenty-Two of the competition we had a total of two players to share the cash Prize Money of £6 and they are first time winners this season, which brings our winners total up to Twenty-three. Our winners are ANDY EYLES and BOB SAWYER and they both won on a score of 11 goals each. Andy started with us back in the 2004/05 Season, on where he finished in the winning frame in 25th place with a total of 275 goals. Last season Andy finished in 63rd place with 275 goals. This season with his personal best score, Andy has picked up just two blank score sheets at the weekends and this is his highest position to date as he picks up a total of twenty goals this week. Bob started with us in the 2010/11 Season and he finished in second place with a total of 302 goals. With two weekend wins, Bob won over £62 in cash. Last season he finished in the winning frame again in 24th place with a total of 295 goals. This season he has been at the top in Week Three for a week but he has never fallen below thirteenth place since then. Bob has picked up three weekend blank score sheets and this his personal best score. Their winning teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS

All of us picked up some goals this week once again and it has changed the order in the race for the cash once more. We had another forty-three players that have scored 50 or more midweek goals, taking our total up to ninety-eight players that are on or over the halfway stage to the cash. It was STUART KEMP’s first combo that picked up the most number of midweek goals with a total of 14 goals. They came from Manchester City 5, Oxford United 4 and Tottenham 5. Stuart is now on a total of 56 midweek goals. So here are the top five places this week. In the lead this week we still have RAYMOND HARROD now with a total of 67 goals. His teams are Brentford, Celtic and Manchester City. In second place moving down from number one of last weekend we have CHRIS SETFORD with a total of 66 goals. WEEKEND RESULTS

This weekend we had the weather interfering with our games as the coronavirus cancels the odd game now. We had a total of twelve of our teams without a game over the weekend with another eighteen that failed to score any goals. The good news is that only two players failed to pick up any goals at the weekend. After fantastic results from our midweek games, it was not so good at the weekend. The weekends average score fell from five of last weekend back down to just 3 goals this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was seven goals and they came from the Championship where BRENTFORD won 7-2 at home to Wycombe.
