In Week Eighteen of the competition and we had our twentieth winner of the season to take the full £6 cash prize money, as DEREK CORMACK picks up a total of 14 goals which is his personal best.
Derek is in his third season with us as he started back in the 2017/18 Season on where he finished in the winning frame in 18th place on a total of 304 goals. With two weekend wins, Derek won £23 in cash. Last season he finished in 73rd place on a total of 287 goals. This season this is his first time on being on the first page so this is his highest to date. Derek has picked up three blank score sheets and his best team is Rangers. His teams are

BRENTFORD 7, MANCHESTER CITY 2, RANGERS 5

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Over half of us picked up some more goals this week and the race for the cash has changed slightly once again. We had a total of four players that picked up the highest midweek score with seven goals each. They are JAMES BLYTH, PETER JEFFREY, ANTHONY PIRES and EMMA SAWYER.
This week we have COLIN WEBB (2) who is in front with a total of 46 goals. In second place on 42 goals we still have RICHARD WILLIAMS but he is now joined with STEVE MEDHURST up from three last week. In joint sixth place both on 38 goals we have TOBY BICKNELL down from five and coming back in we have STEVE STUBBS.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had twelve of our teams with out a game over the weekend and another eight teams that failed to score any goals. So the weekends average score has remained at 7 goals for the second weekend running. The reason for that is once again that we all picked up some weekend goals with some big scores.
The highest score that we had came from the Championship where BRENTFORD picked up their highest result of the season by winning 7-0 at home to LUTON. Brentford are now on a total of 30 goals. While Luton picked up their six blank of the season.
Brentford are one of our original teams from our very first season and they became our 9th voted team to come in. They finished on a score of 84 goals. This is their eighteenth season with Golden Goals and their highest score came in the 1998/99 Season with 95 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 87 goals. Over the years they have scored a total of 1245 goals, which gives them an average score of 69 goals per season to date. So far this season they have picked up a total of eight blank score sheets and they have four votes.

FA CUP Second Round
We had a total of nine of our teams in cup action but only three are through to the next round. They are BLACKPOOL who won 3-1 at home to non-league Maidstone Utd. Blackpool are now on 35 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 2-1 at home to non-league Altrincham and they are now on 35 goals but they have now extended their goal run to eight games. But it’s not all bad news here as we have another three teams in replays. They are PLYMOUTH who drew 1-1 away to Bristol Rovers and that is goal number 33 for them.
