Wolves Third After Win

In the Premier League WOLVES won 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace and have moved up to third place with both goals coming in the first half. Wolves are now on a total of 8 goals . 

In the Championship, after their biggest result of the season against Blackburn on Tuesday night, READING lost their second game of the week 3-2 away to Coventry. Reading are now on a total of 20 goals.

Championship Results

In the Championship, BIRMINGHAM after a dry spell of three games, won their second league game of the season with a 2-1 home win against Huddersfield. Birmingham are now on a total of five goals. BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 at home to BRISTOL CITY and that is their 12th goal of the season. Bristol picked up their third blank score sheet. DERBY drew 1-1 at home to CARDIFF and they are now on a total of five goals to Cardiff’s seven. LUTON drew 1-1 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST and they are on 11 goals to Forest’s five. PRESTON lost 2-0 at home to Millwall and that is their fifth blank fo the season. ROTHERHAM picked up their highest result of the season by winning 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Rotherham are now on a total of 9 goals.

Reading Picked up Four

In the Championship, READING picked up their highest score of the season as they win 4-2 away to Blackburn Rovers. Reading have taken their goals tally up to 18. BRENTFORD drew 1-1 at home to NORWICH and they are now on 21 goals and have extended their goal run to ten games. Norwich picked up goal number 10. MIDDLESBROUGH won 2-0 at home to Coventry and they are now on 12 goals. It’s ten for SWANSEA as they win 2-0 at home against STOKE who picked up their fourth blank of the season after a goal run of seven games. It’s also ten for WATFORD as they drew 1-1 away to Wycombe. 

In League One, HULL won 3-1 away to Bristol Rovers and they are now on a total of 17 goals. CHARLTON won 2-0 at home to OXFORD UNITED and they are on 12 goals while Oxford picked up their fourth blank score sheet. CREWE lost 1-0 at home to LINCOLN CITY and that is their fourth blank of the season while Lincoln picked up their 23rd goal. FLEETWOOD TOWN won 1-0 at home to Shrewsbury and they are now on a total of 18 goals. WIGAN picked up their fifth blank of the season and now just one goal in their last five games as they lost 2-0 to MK Dons. PETERBOROUGH are doing well now as they drew 2-2 at home against Burton. Borough are now on a total of 14 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. PLYMOUTH won 2-1 at home to Doncaster and are now on a total of 18 goals. PORTSMOUTH are now on 19 goals as they win 4-0 at home to Northampton. It’s 10 for SUNDERLAND as they drew 2-2 away to Rochdale. 

In League Two, BOLTON won 1-0 at home to Bradford to pick up their 9th goal of the season. TRANMERE ROVERS lost 4-0 away to Crawley and that is their sixth blank score sheet. HARROGATE TOWN drew 0-0 at home to Stevenage and that is their third blank of the season. EXETER drew 1-1 away to Leyton Orient and they are now on 14 goals. CHELTENHAM lost 2-1 away to Port Vale and are now on a total of 15 goals. SOUTHEND after a three game dry spell for goals picked up goal number five as they lost 2-1 at home against Oldham.

Premier League Results

In the Premier League, BRIGHTON drew 1-1 at home against WEST BROM to take their goals total to 16 while West Brom are on 11 goals. TOTTENHAM won 1-0 away to Burnley and they are now on a total of 17 goals.

Week Eight

Here we are with Week eight of the competition and we had our eighth winner of the season, winning on the lowest score of the season with just 8 goals. That player was STEVE AYRES who picks up the full £6 this weekend. Steve has been with Golden Goals since the 29th Season 2011/12. In that season, Steve finished in 97th place with a total of 237 goals. Steve finished in the winning frame in the 2018/19 Season in 11th place with 322 goals. Last season he finished in 76th place with a total of 261 goals. This season, Steve has been as high as 8th place in Week One. He has picked up just one blank score sheet to date. His best team is Celtic. His teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

We had a total of four players that picked up the most number of goals this week with five each. There is a little change in the race for the cash as LOUIE HARRINGTON remains in front with a total of 32 goals. His combo are Celtic, Chelsea and Liverpool. In second place this week we have LINDA ADKINS with PAUL MORAN (Mango) and BOB SAWYER both up from four all with a total of 31 goals. In third place we still have BRADLEY CLARK and RICKY MILES but they are now joined with JED WEARDEN up from five all with a total of 30 goals each. In fourth place we still have MARK JOHNSTON, GRANT PHILLIPS and coming back in the race we have RAYMOND HARROD and MICK LIDDLE all have a total of 29 goals. In fifth place we still have KAREN SMITH, BOB SOPER, STEVE STUBBS and now with HAYLEY ADKINS and (ME) Steve Reeve all on 28 goals.  

WEEKEND RESULTS

This weekend we had eleven of our teams without a game over the weekend with another eight that failed to score any goals. All but two players managed to pick up some goals from our combo’s. With another full league fixture, the average score for this weekend was only 5 goals. The Highest score over the weekend was four goals and they went to Scottish Premiership where MOTHERWELL picked up their highest result of the season as they win 4-0 at home to Ross County. It’s nice to see Motherwell back in action and they are now on a total of 11 goals and they have now scored in all of their last four games.  Motherwell became our 7th voted Scottish team and they started with us back in the 1984/85 Season on where they finished on their highest end of season score of 73 goals. The last time that they were in was back in the 2002/03 Season with 58 goals. This is their fourth season with us and they have now netted a total of 198 goals which gives them an average score of 49.5 goals per season. They have just one vote this season. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

EVERTON have remained top of the Premier League after they lost 2-0 away to Southampton. Everton after a goal run of eight games, picked up their first blank score sheet. LIVERPOOL have moved up to second place after they won 2-1 at home to Sheffield United when they went a goal down. Liverpool are now on a total of 22 goals. Aston Villa are down to third place after their defeat against Leeds United on Friday night. LEICESTER CITY in still fourth place as they win 1-0 away to ARSENAL. After a tow game dry spell, Leicester are now on a total of 13 goals. Arsenal picked up their third blank score sheet and now two in a row. WOLVES are now on 6 goals after they drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle. MANCHESTER UNITED drew 0-0 at home to CHELSEA to pick up their first blank score sheet after a goal run of six games. Chelsea picked up their second. FULHAM lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace and they are now on 8 goals and bottom of the league. WEST HAM drew 1-1 at home to MANCHESTER CITY. West Ham have now scored in all of their last eight games and are now on a total of 21 goals, while City keep their 100% goal run of seven games with a total of 13 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

READING are back on top here after they won 3-0 at home against ROTHERHAM. Reading have taken their goals tally up to 14 goals this week while Rotherham picked up their second blank score sheet. BRISTOL CITY drop down to second place after they drew 1-1 at home to SWANSEA. City are now on 17 goals while Swansea hit goal number eight. WATFORD have moved up to fourth place after they drew 1-1 at home to BOURNEMOUTH now in fifth place. Watford are now on a total of 9 goals with Bournemouth now on 11 goals. CARDIFF drew 1-1 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH and they are now on 6 goals with Brough on 10. PRESTON won 2-1 away to Huddersfield and they are now on 16 goals. NORWICH are now on 9 goals after they won 2-1 at home against Wycombe. BIRMINGHAM drew 0-0 away to QPR and that is their fifth blank score sheet and now three in a row. LUTON won 1-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday and they are now on a total of 10 goals after a tow game dry spell for goals. STOKE won 3-2 at home to BRENTFORD with their biggest result of the season, Stoke are now on a total of 12 and they have now scored in all of their seven games. Brentford are now on a total of 20 goals and a goal run of nine games. 

LEAGUE ONE

LINCOLN CITY are back on top after they beat leaders Ipswich Town 1-0 at home. City are now on a total of 22 goals. HULL are still in second place after they lost 2-1 at home to PETERBOROUGH. Hull are now on 14 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. Borough are in third place on a total of 12 goals and have scored in all of their last five games. CREWE won 2-1 away to Doncaster and that now gives them a total of 9 goals. After a two game dry spell, FLETWOOD TOWN are now on 17 goals as they win 2-0 away to Gillingham. It’s 10 for CHARLTON as they win 2-0 away to Northampton. PORTSMOUTH won 3-1 away to SUNDERLAND which takes their goals tally up to 15 goals. Sunderland are now on 8 goals. After a three game dry spell, WIGAN are now on 8 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to PLYMOUTH who are now on 16 goals.  

LEAGUE TWO

CHELTENHAM are our highest team here still in third place after they drew 0-0 at home to Mansfield. That brought an end to their 100% scoring record after nine games with their first blank of the season. BOLTON drew 1-1 away to Cambridge Utd and that was their 8th goal of the season. HARROGATE TOWN lost 2-1 away to Colchester and that is goal number 11 and it’s now four goals in their last four games. After a two game dry spell, SCUNTHORPE hit goal number five after they lost 3-1 away to EXETER. Exeter are now on a total of 13 goals with their biggest result of the season. SALFORD CITY drew 1-1 at home to Crawley and they are now on a total of 13 goals. After a two game dry spell, TRANMERE are now on 7 goals after they won 2-0 at home to SOUTHEND. Southend still bottom of the table picked up their sixth blank and now three in a row. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the Premiership, RANGERS won 2-0 at home to Livingston and they are now on a total of 28 goals and a goal run of eight games. They are now six points clear of rivals CELTIC as they drew 3-3 away to ABERDEEN. Celtic are also on 28 goals while Aberdeen are now on 17.

In League One, with their second league games, COVE RANGERS are top after they won 2-0 away to Peterhead. Rangers are now on a total of 8 goals and a goal run of four. In second place is FALKIRK after they drew 1-1 at home to Forfar and they are now on 9 goals.

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR moved up to third place as they drew 2-2 at home to Stirling. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 7 goals.

Our Best team is MANCHESTER CITY after scoring in all of their seven of their league games keeping their 100% record with a total of 13 goals. They are on an average score of 1.8 goals per game. 

Our worst team this weekend is BIRMINGHAM who have scored just three goals in their eight games played. 

SOUTHEND have picked up the most number of blank score sheets with six out of nine games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 38th Season are ASTON VILLA as they win 7-2 home against Champions LIVERPOOL in the league in Week Five and LIVERPOOL , they won 7-2 away to LINCOLN CITY in the Carabao Cup in Round Three from Week Four. 

LINDA ADKINS has remained top again this weekend for a fifth consecutive weekend. Linda did not have any of her teams in action during midweek once again but she did pick up six goals from the weekend. Linda’s teams are Celtic, Liverpool and West Ham. Linda is now one goal in front of Jed Wearden who has moved into second place on goal difference.

At the other end at 116 we now have Jacqui Rattle who becomes our sixth player to stay there. Jacqui picked up three goals from the week with her teams of  Arsenal, Manchester City and Wolves.

Leeds United Third

In the Premier League, LEEDS UNITED have moved up to third place as they win 3-0 away to ASTON VILLA. Leeds are now on a total of 13 goals while Villa picked up their second blank of the season. 

In the Championship, NOTTINGHAM FOREST drew 1-1 at home to DERBY after going a goal down. Forest and Derby are now both on a total of 4 goals each. 

In the Scottish Championship, HEARTS go top after they won 1-0 away to Arbroath to pick up their 12th goal and have now scored in all of their five games played.

Midweek Update

In the Premier League, WOLVES won 1-0 away to LEEDS UNITED to pick up their 5th goal of the season. Leeds after a goal run of five games, picked up their very first blank of the season. WEST BROM drew 0-0 at home to Burnley and that is their third blank of the season and now two in a row. 

In the Championship, BRISTOL CITY lost 1-0 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. City picked up their second blank of the season while Brough picked up their 9th goal of the season. Week Seven

Here we are with Week Seven of the competition and we had our first Rollover of the season of £12 and that was split between BARBARA BARNES (2) and ROBERT FULLER. That means that we have now had a total of seven winners this season and they won on the lowest score to date with just 9 goals each.

 Barbara have been with Golden Goals for a very long while and we thank her for all the support over the years. Last season Barbara finished in the winning frame in fifth place with a total of 318 goals. This week we see Barbara’s second combo at her highest position so far. She has picked up two blank score sheets. Robert is new to the competition and we thank him for joining in this season in such troubled times. Robert seems to be going the right way now as he was at number 116 in Week two. He has also picked up two blank score sheets and this is his highest to date. Our winners teams are

It was RYAN FC that picked up the most number of goals this week with nine. They all came from Hearts two cup games. Their other teams are Portsmouth and Sunderland. There is no change in the race for the cash as LOUIE HARRINGTON remains in front with a total of 32 goals. His combo are Celtic, Chelsea and Liverpool. In second place we have LINDA ADKINS with a total of 31 goals. In third place we have BRADLEY CLARK and RICKY MILES both with a total of 30 goals each. In fourth place we have MARK JOHNSTON, PAUL MORAN (Mango), GRANT PHILLIPS and BOB SAWYER all have a total of 29 goals. In fifth place we have KAREN SMITH, BOB SOPER, STEVE STUBBS and JED WEARDEN all on 28 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

United with their biggest result of the season, are now on a total of 15 goals and they have now scored in all of their six games played. Manchester United have been in all of our 38 Season’s and in our very first in 1983/84, United finished on a total of 79 goals and was our fourth most voted team. Their highest end of season score came in the 1993/94 Season with 117 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 87. Over the years they have scored a total of 3189 goals which gives them an average score of 83 goals per season. They have twelve votes this season. 

PREMIER LEAGUE 

EVERTON are now top of the Premier League after they drew 2-2 at home against Champions LIVERPOOL. Everton have kept their 100% scoring record going after eight games and they are now on a total of 26 goals. Liverpool are in third place with a total of 20 goals. ASTON VILLA are in second place after they won 1-0 away to LEICESTER CITY in fourth place. As Villa picked up their 18th goal of the season Leicester picked up their third blank score sheet and now two in a row. ARSENAL lost 1-0 away to MANCHESTER CITY to pick up their second blank of the season while City picked up their 12th goal of the season. BRIGHTON drew 1-1 away to Crystal Palace and they are now on 15 goals. After a dry spell of three games, FULHAM are now on a total of 7 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Sheffield United. It’s 20 goals for CHELSEA as they drew 3-3 at home to Southampton. TOTTENHAM drew 3-3 at home against London rivals WEST HAM, after going three goals up by half time. Tottenham are now on a total of 16 while West Ham are now on 20 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games.

In the Premiership, in the old firm game RANGERS beat rivals CELTIC 2-0 away. Rangers are now on a total of 26 goals and they have scored in all of their last seven games. Celtic’s 100% goal run has finally come to the end with their first blank score sheet. ABERDEEN drew 0-0 away to Dundee Utd and that is their third blank of the season. 

In League One, with their first league games, COVE RANGERS won 3-1 at home against East Fife. Rangers with their highest result are now on a total of 6 goals. FALKIRK won 3-1 away to Montrose and they are now on 8 goals. 

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR picked up their biggest result as they won 3-1 away to Albion. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of five goals.

Linda’s teams are Celtic, Liverpool and West Ham. Linda is still on goal difference in front of Louie Harrington who are both moving away from the rest of us.

At the other end at 116 we now have REBECCA HARRINGTON who becomes our fifth player to stay there. Rebecca picked up four goals all coming from the weekend from Brentford, Charlton and Nottingham Forest.

Hearts Hit Six

HEARTS from the Scottish Championship have started their season off in good style as they have picked up a total of ten goals in a week. They played their first league game last night and they won 6-2 at home to Dundee. With their biggest result so far, they have taken their goals tally up to 11 goals in four games. They have just one vote this season. 

In the English Championship, DERBY lost 1-0 at home to WATFORD. Derby have picked up their fourth blank score sheet in seven games played while Watford picked up goal number five.

Scottish Betfred Cup

In the Scottish Betfred Cup First Round we had four of our teams in action and in Group A HEARTS won 3-1 at home to Raith Rovers. Hearts are top of their group after winning all three games and they now have a total of 5 goals. In Group B, COVE RANGERS drew 2-2 away to non-league Brora Rangers and then went on to win 3-2 on penalties. In Group E FALKIRK won 2-1 at home to Clyde and they are now on a total of 5 goals and second in this group. In Group H STENHOUSEMUIR lost 2-0 at home to Airdrie to pick up their first blank of the season. 

In the English League Two, CHELTENHAM lost 3-1 at home to Grimsby. The single now gives Cheltenham a total of 11 goals and they have extended their goal run to seven games.

Harrogate Now 8th Place

In League Two, HARROGATE TOWN won 1-0 away to Bradford City and that is their 9th goal of the season and they have move up to eighth place in the league.

Week Six

Here we are with Week Six of the competition and we did not have any prize money this week but we do have our first Rollover of the season next weekend worth £12. 

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT 

We had just four players that picked up some goals this week and the highest amount with four goals which went to TONY GUY (5) from Fleetwood Town. His other teams are Arsenal and Rotherham. 

LOUIE HARRINGTON remains in front this week with a total of 32 goals. His combo are Celtic, Chelsea and Liverpool. In second place we still have LINDA ADKINS with a total of 31 goals. In third place we still have BRADLEY CLARK and RICKY MILES both with a total of 30 goals each. In fourth place we still have MARK JOHNSTON, PAUL MORAN (Mango), GRANT PHILLIPS and BOB SAWYER all have a total of 29 goals. In fifth place we have KAREN SMITH, BOB SOPER, STEVE STUBBS and JED WEARDEN all on 28 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS 

This weekend we had forty-one of our teams without a game over the weekend due to the International games being played this week. With the teams that did play, three failed to score any goals. The bad news is that most of us picked up another blank score sheet from our combo’s. 

The Highest score over the weekend was three goals and they went to League One CREWE as they win 3-0 at home to WIGAN. Crewe with their biggest result of the season are now on a total of 6 goals. Wigan picked up their second blank score sheet. Crewe started with us back in the 1993/94 Season where they became our 84th voted English team. They finished on a score of 90 goals. Their highest end of season score was 99 goals in the 1995/96 Season. The last time that Crewe was with Golden Goals was back in the 2011/12 Season where they finished on a score of 74 goals. This is Crewe’s 9th Season with us and over the years they have scored a total of 629 goals which gives them an average score of 69 goals per season. They have just one vote this season and two blank score sheets to date. 

LEAGUE ONE 

Ipswich Town are back at the top this weekend with LINCOLN CITY moving down to second place after they lost 2-1 at home to Bristol Rovers. Lincoln are now on a total of 19 goals and they have kept their 100% scoring record going after eight games played. HULL have moved down to third place after their defeat in midweek. OXFORD UTD lost 3-1 away to Gillingham and that is their 7th goal of the season. ACCRINGTON STANLEY won 2-1 at home to Rochdale and they have also kept their 100% record going with a goal run of six games. PETERBOROUGH won 2-0 away to Northampton and they are now on a total of 7 goals. PLYMOUTH won 2-0 at home to Burton and they are now on 13 goals. It’s 10 goals for PORTSMOUTH after they won 2-1 at home to MK Dons.  SWINDON lost 1-0 at home to AFC Wimbledon and that is their second blank of the season. 

LEAGUE TWO 

CHELTENHAM are our highest team here in fourth place after they won 2-0 at home to Crawley. Cheltenham are now on a total of 10 goals and they have scored in all of their six games played. BOLTON drew 0-0 at home to Grismby and that is their fourth blank of the season and now just two goals in their last five games. SALFORD CITY drew 2-2 at home to TRANMERE and they are now on a total of 9 goals to Tranmere’s 5. SCUNTHORPE lost 4-1 at home to Forest Green and that is their fourth goal of the season. With their highest result of the season, SOUTHEND drew 2-2 at home to EXETER and they are now on a total of four goals to Exeter’s total of 8. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES 

In the Scottish Betfred Cup Group Stage, in Group A HEARTS won their second game 1-0 away to Cowdenbeath and that is their second goal in the competition. Hearts have won both their games and they are top of their group with two goals. In Group B, COVE RANGERS went a goal up before they lost 2-1 at home to Hibernian. In Group H, STENHOUSEMUIR drew 2-2 away to Edinburgh City and then went on to win 4-2 on penalties.

Our Best team is CELTIC after scoring in all nine of their League games with a total of 25 goals. They are on an average score of 2.7 goals per game. 

Our worst team this weekend is NOTTINGHAM FOREST who have scored just one goal in their five games played. 

MOTHERWELL have picked up the most number of blank score sheets with five out of nine games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 38th Season are ASTON VILLA their 7-2 home win against Champions LIVERPOOL in the league in Week Five and LIVERPOOL , they won 7-2 away to LINCOLN CITY in the Carabao Cup in Round Three from Week Four.

LINDA ADKINS has remained top this weekend for a third week running. Linda did not have any of her teams in action this week. Linda’s teams are Celtic, Liverpool and West Ham. Linda is still on goal difference in front of Louie Harrington.

At the other end at 116 we still have Ryan FC this week as they stay for a third week. Ryan FC picked up another four goals this week.  Their teams are Hearts, Portsmouth and Sunderland.

Fleetwood Goal Crazy

In League One, FLEETWOOD picked up their biggest result of the season as they win 4-1 at home to HULL. Fleetwood have taken their goals tally up to 15 goals. Hull picked up goal number 9 and they have now scored in all of their last seven games.

 In the Scottish Betfred Cup, in Group E FALKIRK played their second cup game and lost 2-0 away to Dunfermline.

The Start of the Scottish League Cup


At last it’s nice to see the lower Scottish leagues teams playing and they start with the group stages of the Scottish Betfred Cup. In Group A HEARTS won 1-0 at home to Inverness CT. In Group E FALKIRK were given a 3-0 home win against Kilmarnock after Kilmarnock could not play, due to six of their first teams players having the Coronavirus.

Week Five

Here we are with Week Five of the competition and we had another two winners this weekend. One has already won some cash this season. Our winners are DOUG MORBEY who becomes our fifth winner and for her second win of the season, SANDRA NICHOLLS. They both won on a score of 12 goals each and a share in the prize money of £6. Doug has been with us since our 1990/91 Season. In his very first season, Doug finished in 33rd place with a total of 231 goals. Last season he finished in 27th place with 292 goals and one weekend win. This season Doug is at his highest to date and has picked up just one blank score sheet. This is his personal best this season. Sandra has already picked up some cash in Week Three with our highest score to date of thirteen goals. This is Sandra’s highest position to date. In fifth place we have KAREN SMITH, BOB SOPER, STEVE STUBBS and JED WEARDEN all on 28 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS 

This weekend we had nine of our teams without a game over the weekend and another ten teams that failed to score any goals. The good news is that we all picked up some goals from our combo’s and this weekend the average score has remained at 5 goals. So if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this week. The Highest score over the weekend was seven goals and they went to ASTON VILLA as they win 7-2 at home to LIVERPOOL. With their biggest result of the season, Villa are now on a total of 17 goals while Liverpool are on 18. Aston Villa Started in our very first season and they were our 23rd voted English team. In that season they finished on a total of 73 goals. We had to wait till the 2018/19 Season for them to get their highest score with 87 goals. Last season they finished on 61 goals. This is their 20th Season with Golden Goals and over the years they have netted a total of 1252 goals which gives them an average score of 62 goals per season. They have started off very well in this unusual season and after six games played they have picked up just one blank score sheet. They have just one vote this season. 

PREMIERSHIP 

We have had a very strange weekend of football this week here in the Premier League. Now I did say this a couple of weeks ago that EVERTON could be the dark horse of the season and they are now top of the league. They won 4-2 at home to BRIGHTON and they are now on a total of 24 goals and they have now scored in all of their seven games played. Brighton are now on a total of 14 goals. Aston Villa are now in second place with LEICESTER CITY down to third place after they were beaten by WEST HAM 3-0 away. As Leicester picked up their second blank of the season, West Ham have taken their goals tally up to 17 goals. They have now scored in all of their last six games. MANCHESTER CITY drew 1-1 away to LEEDS UNITED after going a goal up in the first half. City are now on a total of 11 goals and they have scored in all of their five games played. Leeds picked up goal number ten and they have scored in all of their five games. WOLVES picked up their fourth goal of the season after they won 1-0 at home to FULHAM. Fulham are bottom of the league and they have now failed to score in their last three games and now four blank score sheets. WEST BROM lost 2-0 away to Southampton and that is their second blank score sheet. CHELSEA won 4-0 at home to Crystal Palace and they are now on a total of 17 goals. TOTTENHAM picked up their highest result of the season as they win 6-1 away to MANCHESTER UNITED. Tottenham are now on a total of 13 goals while United picked up goal number eleven but they have scored in all of their five games played. It’s 10 goals for ARSENAL as they won 2-1 at home to Sheffield United. 

CHAMPIONSHIP 

BRISTOL CITY have remained top this weekend still on goal difference, after they won 2-1 away to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. City are now on a total of 14 goals while Forest picked up their first goal of the season after failing to score in their first four games. READING are second place after they won 1-0 at home to WATFORD. Reading are now on 10 goals while Watford picked up their second blank of the season. Bournemouth are in third place after their win on Friday night. After two games without a goal, PRESTON won 4-2 away to BRENTFORD after they went two goals down in the first half. Preston are now on a total of 12 goals while Brentford are on 14 goals and they have now scored in all of their last five games. STOKE drew 1-1 at home to BIRMINGHAM to pick up goal number five while it’s now three for Birmingham. CARDIFF picked up third blank of the season after they drew 0-0 away to Blackburn. After two blank score sheets, LUTON won 2-0 at home to Wycombe and they are now on a total of 9 goals. MIDDLESBROUGH won 2-1 at home to Barnsley and they are now on 8 goals.  DERBY won 1-0 away to NORWICH and that is their third goal of the season while Norwich picked up their second consecutive blank score sheet.  ROTHERHAM drew 1-1 at home to Huddersfield and they are now on 4 goals. SWANSEA won 2-1 at home to Millwall and they are now on  a total of 5 goals. 

LEAGUE ONE 

LINCOLN CITY have moved to the top after they won 3-2away to Blackpool. Lincoln are now on a total of 18 goals and they have scored in all of their seven games played. HULL have moved up to second place after they won 1-0 at home to PLYMOUTH. Hull picked up goal number 8 and they have scored in their last six games. Plymouth picked up their first blank of the season after a goal run of five games. ACCRINGTON STANLEY won 2-1 away to AFC Wimbledon and they are now on a total of 7 goals and a goal run of five games. PORTSMOUTH won 4-2 away to Burton with their biggest win of the season. Portsmouth have now taken their goals total to 8. PETERBOROUGH picked up their highest result as they won 3-1 at home to SWINDON. Borough are now on a total of 5 goals to Swindons 9. FLEETWOOD lost 2-1 away to Rochdale and they are now on 11 goals. WIGAN won 1-0 at home against Doncaster and that is goal number seven for them. 

LEAGUE TWO 

SALFORD CITY are our highest team here in third place after they won 1-0 away to Stevenage. Salford are now on a total of 7 goals. SOUTHEND drew 1-1 away to Crawley and that is their second goal of the season. EXETER won 2-0 at home to Cambridge Utd and they are now on 6 goals. BOLTON won 2-1 away to HARROGATE TOWN and they are now on a total of three goals after a dry spell of three games. Harrogate are now on 8 goals. CHELTENHAM won 2-0 away to Leyton Orient and they are now on a total of 8 goals and they have now scored in all of their five games played. TRANMERE won their first game of the season as they win 2-0 at home to SCUNTHORPE. Tranmere are now on three goals after a dry spell fo three games without a goal. Scunthorpe picked up their second blank score sheet. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES 

In the Scottish Premiership, we had just two of our teams in action. RANGERS are still top after they won 2-0 at home to Ross County. Rangers are now on a total of 24 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games.  CELTIC are still in second place and one point behind Rangers as they win 2-0 away to St Johnstone with two very late goals. Celtic managed to keep their 100% goal run after nine games and they are now on a total of 25 goals.
