Week Six

Here we are with Week Six of the competition and we did not have any prize money this week but we do have our first Rollover of the season next weekend worth £12.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

We had just four players that picked up some goals this week and the highest amount with four goals which went to TONY GUY (5) from Fleetwood Town. His other teams are Arsenal and Rotherham.

LOUIE HARRINGTON remains in front this week with a total of 32 goals. His combo are Celtic, Chelsea and Liverpool. In second place we still have LINDA ADKINS with a total of 31 goals. In third place we still have BRADLEY CLARK and RICKY MILES both with a total of 30 goals each. In fourth place we still have MARK JOHNSTON, PAUL MORAN (Mango), GRANT PHILLIPS and BOB SAWYER all have a total of 29 goals. In fifth place we have KAREN SMITH, BOB SOPER, STEVE STUBBS and JED WEARDEN all on 28 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

This weekend we had forty-one of our teams without a game over the weekend due to the International games being played this week. With the teams that did play, three failed to score any goals. The bad news is that most of us picked up another blank score sheet from our combo’s.

The Highest score over the weekend was three goals and they went to League One CREWE as they win 3-0 at home to WIGAN. Crewe with their biggest result of the season are now on a total of 6 goals. Wigan picked up their second blank score sheet. Crewe started with us back in the 1993/94 Season where they became our 84th voted English team. They finished on a score of 90 goals. Their highest end of season score was 99 goals in the 1995/96 Season. The last time that Crewe was with Golden Goals was back in the 2011/12 Season where they finished on a score of 74 goals. This is Crewe’s 9th Season with us and over the years they have scored a total of 629 goals which gives them an average score of 69 goals per season. They have just one vote this season and two blank score sheets to date.

LEAGUE ONE

Ipswich Town are back at the top this weekend with LINCOLN CITY moving down to second place after they lost 2-1 at home to Bristol Rovers. Lincoln are now on a total of 19 goals and they have kept their 100% scoring record going after eight games played. HULL have moved down to third place after their defeat in midweek. OXFORD UTD lost 3-1 away to Gillingham and that is their 7th goal of the season.
